- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started training clients in my martial arts studio because I came across a lot of people who wanted to combine fitness training with martial arts. I found it helped my clients alleviate boredom and that the ones who did it regularly got results much faster. So, I kept doing it, and eventually the workouts I'd developed became the basis for Fighting Fit Boot Camp.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find a trainer or fitness instructor that you can relate to. Someone who has never struggled with their weight or overcome health issues to lose weight has no idea what the average person is going through. So, look for an instructor who can empathize with your situation, because they'll be a better fit for you overall.
