FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While we make every effort to appease our customers, it is often in their best interest for us to meet at the jobsite to give us the optimal perspective for us to provide a fair and accurate quote. Some jobs require us to work on an hourly basis and others require us to work for a flat fee. We do whatever is best for the client. We may charge a trip fee, depending on the area, which is always included in our initial quote. We offer a discount for referrals and Veterans.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we have a new customer, typically we begin with a phone conversation to schedule a first meeting. At that meeting, we take measurements, photos, and discuss the job with the client to ensure we have the same vision. Then within 24-48 hours, we provide the client with an initial quote. We ask for the client to respond with any questions, or their approval and we then put the job on the calendar. If the client does not respond within 72 hours of viewing the quote, we will follow up with them to schedule the work. Prior to the first day of the scheduled work we will collect a deposit which is typically 50% of the cost of labor and 100% of the materials cost Materials sometimes change and/or additional materials are needed, at which point we either include the amount on our final invoice or collect the reimbursement from the client when possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Growing up as the son of an electrician with whom I worked for most summers as a kid, gave me the foundation and knowledge in electrical, construction, and plumbing work. It taught me to be resourceful. It also taught me to use caution at the workplace and to be considerate of other folks who may need to be working on the same jobsite or after us. When I was a freshman in high school, I moved in with my mother. She always had a list of things for me to get done. As time went on, the tasks became more advanced. If I didn't have the experience of doing whatever it was that she needed, then I would go to resources like YouTube.com and learn as much as possible about the project (Because of this, I like to say I am "YouTube certified" as my qualification. I am a quick study, so I can usually copy someone's work or do it better as it comes naturally to me the steps to complete just about any job out there. I respect this quality as it is a gift from God!
