- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my couples receive an initial consultation, a planning meeting if not done at the initial consultation, ceremony editing and approval via email, a rehearsal guide, and a complimentary wedding certificate. Extra ceremony inserts might include a unity candle or sand (provided by couple) ceremony, Handfasting, rose presentation, tree of life planting, or they may desire family readings, special songs, etc. be included in the ceremony and this is done at no additional charge. My base price is $125 and goes up from there depending on distance I must travel and any accommodations I may need. Premarital guidance is available if desired with negotiable terms depending on your needs. Travel is charged the standard mileage rate based on the IRS 2016 schedule for business travel at .54 per mile and is added to the packages when the distance is greater than 30 miles from my home.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with my couples as early on in their planning process as possible. This allows me to get to know them which makes it an easier process when I start writing the ceremony. It also allows for changes and adjustments to made prior to the big day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent 27 years in the medical field which has helped me learn to stay calm in high crisis situations. I taught new parenting and lactation classes, and I was also a medical assisting instructor. All of these have provided me the ability to speak with confidence in front of an audience. I recently returned to school to complete my degree in psychology.
