Rona was truly a great trainer. I needed a trainer for my rescue dog who is shy and easily scared. I've had dogs before and were able to train them, but this one I had no idea what to do. I needed a way to let my dog know that she can trust me. Without me saying this, Rona taught me and my boyfriend a way to gain our puppy's trust and to build our relationship. It's been a couple of days now and the trick totally works! Even when we go out now our dog would look at us instead of panning left and right. What I truly appreciate from Rona's training is that she taught us just enough for us to get started on the dog training. I wasn't overwhelmed with information and the tricks she taught us were useful ones for this stage of the dog's training. I think dog trainers need to realize that as much as they are training the dogs, their main task is to train the humans on how to train their own dogs, and that's exactly what Rona did. Thank you Rona, Lucy is doing a lot better (still problems here and there but getting better)!
Kenny has been fantastic!! In just a few sessions, he has got my little Cosmo listening to me like never before. He is very attentive and listens to any questions or concerns I may have. I've worked with several different dog trainers, but K9 Kenny is by far the best. I've already recommended him to several of my friends!!
Kevin is very professional and skilled in his dog training abilities. My Frenchie completed a 2 week board and train program. She is much calmer and has MANNERS! I am continuing her training at home and it's been great. The Easy to follow instructional video using my own cute puppy doing her new skills has been very helpful for the whole family! We are so happy to have the Lola we new she could be🐶
Dog trainer seemed very professional got past what I thought he could not get past my dog is very large and has a very mean bark but that did not stop the dog trainer for going in and handling him very gentle of course but affirmative loved it what would make it better is more consecutive sessions I know the days closer together
My boyfriend and I adopted a 6 week old pit bull named Huck in November 2013 the very first night we brought him home to feed him, I leaned down to pet him and he immediately starting growling. We tried to work with him ourselves but his food aggression started escalating as he got older and he also started being very aggressive towards us and family before he was 4 mo. Old. Our vet at the time told us that he needed to be neutered ASAP. So after we did that, we expected him to be more calm and less aggressive. Nothing really changed except he became more aggressive to the point where he would never let us give him a bath, clip his nails, being at the vet, pet him while he was eating or had any kind of bones to chew on, putting a collar on him, getting close to him and trying to touch his face. He would lash out at us if we did any of those things. It broke my heart more than anyone could understand because I was always so loving and affectionate towards my other dogs and the fact that I couldn't even love on my dog just ate me up. I became very scared of him and anytime he growled at me which was daily, I just left him alone. Me and my boyfriend have taken him to a few dog trainers in the past but we were turned away because they said he was too agressive and he should probably be put down. We even were recommended to go see a (Dog Phychiatrist) so he could be put on meds forever to help him be obedient. When I found out how much that was, it was insanely amount of money that we just couldn't afford. I was actually starting to consider to have him euthanized because so many people have told us that he is just to dangerous. I felt so alone and I just didn't want to be scared of my own dog anymore. My final attempt to get him help was actually on thumbtack. I listed my needs for a dog trainer and explained how agressive he was and expected to get no reply back from anyone because of his behavior. But then within 5 minutes of me posting my request, Christie said that she could help us. My boyfriend and I were kind of skeptical about it at first cause we didn't think she fully understood his condition and that maybe she just turn us away like all the others. But she explained to me that dealing with agressive breeds was actually her specialty which made me feel a lot better. On His very first day there of training he acted up pretty bad and Christie told that Huck needed to stay there for a while so she could work one on one with him without us being around. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make at that point but we decided to leave him there. It was very hard on us but we would have rather had to say goodbye for a little than have to say goodbye to him forever. Christie made us feel better by sending us emails and pictures almost daily about Huck's progress. We were finally able to bring him home 3 months later and we could not be more pleased with his behavior right now. I can finally say that we are able to put Huck's collar on him, clip his nails, and my most favorite part of all, he finally let's us love all over him and get close and touch his face. We know that he still has a long way to go, but he has made so much progress and we are so thankful from the bottom of our hearts for Christie. She is absolutely amazing with all of the dogs. You can really tell that she is genuine and really cares about what she does. We are learning so much from her and Ms.Jessica. That is why we drive 3 hours to see her for Class every Saturday morning from Houston.
From the first day I brough Bambi home from the shelter, she was not a fun dog to walk. She would go crazy if we saw another dog while walking, so I began to avoid other dogs whenever possible. But after five years of that and a few failed attempts with other trainers (who labeled her with "dog aggression" or "barrier frustration"), one day she got off leash and sent a dog to the emergency vet. That's when we met Kris. Despite her history, Kris knew just within minutes after meeting Bambi that it was a socialization issue, not aggression. After just a few hours with Kris, Bambi had made great strides, and after just a few days she was playing at the off leash dog park! Kris understands dogs - from pack dynamics to individual temperament - unlike any trainer I've worked with. He has a calm, confident, and positive training style that relies on the reinforcement of good behavior instead of treats or punishment. He has transformed Bambi into a differnt dog, and I know that there isn't a dog (or owner) out there he can't help.
I love Austin Dog Zone! My dog, a Basenji named Loki, has some anxiety issues. After adopting him for the local shelter, it soon became apparent that I would need some help. He was scared of everything: dogs, people, noises, and even things I couldn't see or hear. I turned to Austin Dog Zone for help with this, especially his on-leash reactivity. The moment we met trainer Caitlin Lane I was impressed, she obviously knew what she was doing. Over the course of four private lessons at my home she taught me everything I needed to know to help Loki with his anxiety. 2 and a half years later and Loki and I can go to the park and meet other people and dogs worry-free! I genuinely believe Caitlin is the best dog trainer in Austin. She's naturally good with dogs, she's extremely knowledgeable (I've never had a question that she couldn't answer), and she's infinitely patient. I really like that she focuses not only on training the dogs, but on teaching the owner what they need to progress without her. I've only met fellow ADZ trainer Reed Morgan once, but after talking with her I was very confident she was of similar caliber. Megan Sartori came on board after I moved to Dallas, but I have no doubts she's great. Finally, Laura Neiheisel is always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond over email. I know she does a ton of work behind the scenes, but in addition to that she's a fantastic liaison for the company. To sum up, Caitlin and ADZ have had a lasting impact on my life and the life of my dog. I'm so grateful for all their help!
Julie absolutely the best trainer I have seen. Dogs respond to her like she can talk to them. She worked with my mastiff when she was a a baby and I believe she is an amazingly better behaved dog because of her. I just can't say enough about how great of a dog trainer she is.
I think this company does so much more then leave me with confidence that my dog is safe while I'm traveling but also the compassion and dedication to helping and improving my dogs life with in the household as well as in public!! I have so much more fun now knowing that my dog is being trained properly and in a humane manner then others trainers use. My dog is still learning things but I'm glad I use Darling Pet sitting and training to help me in pet sitting stays and to train my dog.
My dog loves training with Artemis canine so much she knows when it's work time and waits near the door. Lila had a hard time walking on a leash well and it was a pain to try to train her ourselves. She's really energetic and Hunter brought in professional tools for us to work with and teaches Lila games that she loves to play like "Come when I call" and "stay with me on walks". It's awesome
Megan brings years of experience dog training to Top Dog Board and Train. She really knows what she is doing and has a tremendous love for animals. She's the only person I'd trust to train or watch my dogs. Can't recommend her enough!
I'm very please with Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Belton, TX. The communication was excellent and I noticed results within one week of training with my dog Leo. The training is easy to learn and the group classes help my dog learn at a faster pace with the distraction of other dogs. I found that in targeting my dog's intelligence we have a stronger connection and we can both help each other. Robin has been amazing also, as have the other trainers! Thank you Sit Means Sit!
Jennifer at Lucky Star is an excellent dog trainer. She is extremely knowledgeable and she truly cares about the well being of your dog. We started taking our border collie to her at a young age and we constantly get compliments on how well behaved our (very hyper) dog is. Whether you’re looking for general obedience training, boarding, or doggy daycare, Jennifer at Lucky Star is the among the best there is.
Kim has provided my husband and I with the confidence and tools needed to manage our sweet but anxious 3 year old shepherd mix around unfamiliar people/situations. Kim did a great job on educating us on our dog's behaviors and then explained how we can manage them. We have learned so much and will continue to implement what we have learned.
Working with The Wise Hound has been an absolute pleasure! Her knowledge of dogs and her passion for teaching really made training my dog so much fun! I never would have imaged the transformation my dog went through as a result of her fantastic guidance. If you are thinking about getting your dog trained, you can't go wrong with The Wise Hound! Thank you so much for everything you did for me and my pup!
Nikolas is a very insightful and knowledgeable dog trainer, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a personal trainer.
My dog responded well to the trainer and her dog even though he is very shy.
Jennifer has been Jamie's trainer for over a year. Her knowledge, guidance and passion have brought Jamie from a scared shelter dog to a therapy dog. If it wasn't for Jennifer, we wouldn't have known how to handle Jamie's delicate timid, reluctant, needy, anxiety personality. I wouldnt trust Jamie with anyone other than Jennifer St. John. Thank you Jennifer for your commitment and love for Jamie.
I specialize in "bully breeds", but work great with all dogs. I do basic training, including walking on a loose leash, down, sit and stay, tricks, socializing, etc. At the end of the course, your dog does get a diploma if they pass the exam. I have never had a dog fail. I use only positive reinforcement, and also do agility courses and even boarding once your dog has passed. I also love my felines!!!! I do have 8 years in aviary too!!! I have worked with every bird...big or small (from cockatiels to macaws).
