Byron Goble is an excellent musician and very patient when giving lessons to a beginner. I would recommend him to anyone picking up the guitar for the first time (as I was) or someone who is just looking to improve their current skills.

Starting as a complete beginner, I took lessons with Byron over the next 4-5 years. He is an excellent instructor with a very patient and laid back teaching style. During lessons, he would never rush me, instead taking the time to make sure I fully understood what I was doing. I always left with a clear understanding of the exact things I had to improve and what I was doing right. Byron's influence extended beyond our lessons, taking me out to my first guitar festival/competition and always encouraging me to attend local guitar concerts. I would recommend him to anyone looking to start or improve their guitar playing.

While in college, Byron instructed me in classical & Spanish guitar for over 8 months. He was an excellent teacher: always prepared, responsive to questions I asked outside of our lessons, and a great source of inspiration in how well he played. I overheard Byron playing with a group on campus at Texas A&M and was extremely impressed. After a short discussion I learned that he offered lessons. I'd always wanted to learn classical guitar so we began lessons.
Byron customized lessons for me that focused less on musical theory and more on tablature (with which I was more familiar). He is patient, flexible and most of all inspiring. I hope you choose Byron to be your dedicated instructor. Have fun!
