- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Providing Architectural services cover many aspects other than just providing blueprints for a project, at MDB we focus on PROVIDING VALUE to your project. Depending on the level of detail/involvement required from our team we could provide a discount contingent of the type/size of project. Our services include: 1. Schematic Design 2. Design Development 3. Construction documents For an additional administration fee, we could provide guidance or completely take over the permitting process with the city. We also provide construction administration services!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every project is a different scenario, but we would ideally jump in from the beginning and walk the client through the project and assist with any questions during Schematic & Design Development. Once we have defined the main elements of the project and the layout we would then take over to finish the Construction Documents. Our clients can be as involved as they want want in these processes, it has been my experience that there are 2 types of clients, some want to he completely hands-off and others want to be as involved as possible. We develop the Architectural scope of the project in-house and have a team of engineers that we partner with for the rest of the disciplines, we could also partner with the engineers of your choosing. Again, every project is a different world, we encourage clients to have a pre-design call to define needs/requirements of every project beforehand. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a registered Architect in the state of Texas. I have over 7 years of experience in the Architecture Industry in Healthcare & Commercial projects. Previously, I worked 3 years in the Construction Industry. I am a registered LEED Green associate with a Bachelors in Construction Science and a Master in Architecture from Texas A&M University. I've also taken 2 years of Business Administration courses from the JSOM School of Business at the University of Texas at Dallas.
