Roberto is a nice guy and can do great work but I made the mistake of paying him in full the last couple days before he was finished with the job. After I had paid him I realized he was in a hurry to get to his next contract and I started seeing very sloppy work, most of which I didn’t really notice until he was completely finished and had moved onto his next contract. There were several things that I noticed after he had already moved onto his next contract, here is a long list of them: I hadn’t noticed this until after he had already left because you can only tell under certain lighting but I realized that there were many spots in my condo on the walls and on the ceiling where semi gloss paint had been used on a wall that was painted with flat paint. There are also many spots on the wall that I can still see the old coat of white paint because Roberto didn’t use enough coats of paint (I assume to save money or time). On the ceiling that he retextured and repainted I can clearly see streaks from the paint roller. In my kitchen there are a couple pieces of trim that were broken and not replaced, I found one of the pieces shoved in a kitchen drawer. Roberto failed to secure my dishwasher to the new granite countertop so now when I slide out the rack the dishwasher tips forward and comes out from underneath the counter. Roberto also failed to seal/caulk the granite so there is a small gap between the granite and the wall. My ceiling fan was covered in plastic and tape during painting, there is tape residue left on the fan blades, which will have to be repainted. Although he did cover my wood floors in paper there are still many spots of paint on them that he didn’t bother removing. Roberto installed a new sink that came with the granite, however he didn’t hook up the plumbing and instead he told me that I could do it myself or hire someone to do it. Needless to say this didn’t settle well with me since I had paid him over ten grand for all the work and he hadn’t told me that connection of the sink wasn’t included and that I could do it myself or hire someone. He ended up connecting the sink for me after I told him my thoughts. However he didn’t do any touchups on the wall that I showed him that needed some additional paint. I helped him remove my old countertop because his employees were already on the next job, when we removed the old countertop there was some scratches and chips of paint that were removed on the freshly painted walls, Roberto didn’t bother touching these spots up. I had planned on rehiring Roberto in the future as I have just purchased another condo as an investment property and I will be looking for a contractor to remodel it. I plan on buying a duplex within the next year, would be nice to have a reputable contractor to work on my future properties as well. I was going to recommend Roberto to my brother who is planning on fixing up his house and selling it soon. I won’t be rehiring or recommending Roberto unless he reads this decides to come back and finish the job that he started. I thought I had made a new friend and had found an excellent contractor to help me pursue my real estate investment dreams, I was mistaken. To summarize: Not recommended for hire

Background: My home had 30 years of do-it-yourself remodeling done prior to me purchasing it, and the drywall was in a very sorry state: multiple textures, popcorn ceiling only partially removed, uneven and sagging drywall on the ceilings, etc. Additionally, I had moved some walls and done a bunch of electrical work, which left some spaces without drywall / holes where old wiring was removed. The Planning: Roberto met with me and we walked through the entire house with an eye for not just fixing the issues, but also improving things to meet current trends. I found this extremely helpful, as we were able to strategically scope this first project to minimize rework in the future! Roberto stressed that he is a perfectionist, and ensured me that if things were uncovered during the project he would either fix them as well or bring me in to review what additional work would be needed. On day 1, Roberto arrived with a crew of 5 people and walked them through the project, splitting them up into teams for maximum efficiency. I checked in after the first day and found they had fully protected my floors with cardboard, sealed off and covered fixtures and furniture with plastic, and had already made a lot of progress. This inspired a lot of confidence, and I didn't need to check back in for the remainder of the project. The results are spectacular. What looked like a war zone now looks like a nearly brand new home! No sagging ceilings, all the same texture, smooth ceilings, a new wall enclosing a bathroom that previously only had a partial divider wall, and his team even fixed up some things they found as they worked. All in all, the project was done on time, very professionally, and with little interruption to my work schedule. Highly recommended!

I'm not sure where to begin. Roberto answered my request for a quote very fast. After talking to him on the phone he was able to meet at my house within a couple of hours. I had issues with sagging sheetrock in my garage that was at risk of falling on my garage door (which could have been very bad). Roberto gave me varying quotes based off of the degree in which I would want him to fix the issue. I decided to go ahead and have all the sheetrock replaced and/or re-nailed properly (previous owner did nothing but patch jobs). He said it would take 3 days and him and his team were able to get it done in 2 days. Not just that, in between the project he was able to install two bathroom lights/fans that I desperately needed installed. One of the bathrooms needed electrical re-wiring to be done and he had no problems getting that done with his electrician, all within the budget. Overall Roberto was a great person to hire. We hit it off as well and I instantly felt a level of trust when working with him. He gave me free estimates for other projects I want done around our new house such as kitchen remodeling, building an outdoors covered patio, opening walls to make more of an open floor plan, and getting wood paneling installed. He will be hearing from us as soon as I can start stashing away more money for these projects. And that's the other thing, his prices are very reasonable and I don't get the feeling he is taking advantage of us as customers. His honesty and attention to detail is refreshing.
