- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I like to hear about the type of makeup look she is going for. I encourage pictures and also like to share pictures of my work for inspiration. When working with a bride, I like to recommend a trial for us to get to know each other and make sure she will feel absolutely gorgeous on her big day.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have loved makeup for as long as I can remember. As a child I took close up pictures from magazines and tried to replicate the models makeup on drawings I made of their faces. Throughout high school and college I was the "go-to" friend for makeup. I didn't realize until about 6 years ago that I could make this a real career and I have been in love with my work ever since!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with all kinds of people - I do makeup for brides, commercials and video productions (for men and women), date nights, girls nights out, photo shoots, makeup tutorials for teens and women looking to update their every day routine, and of course, just because! I am happy to say that most of my clients become friends and that's one of the best parts about my job!
