Introduction: The martial arts require agility, endurance, and a great deal of heart.
Unfortunately, they also often require getting punched in the face.
If you've ever wanted to experience the sort of training your favorite martial artists do, but without the bruises, Nak Muay Fitness is for you.
As a lifelong martial artist, I can guide you through the training we carry out to get in fighting shape. Our workouts will be primarily built around the striking arts, specifically Muay Thai, tae kwon do, and Shaolin kung fu. An emphasis will be placed not only on strength and endurance, but around proper technique and dexterity. You'll find that martial arts is a fun and effective way to burn fat, increase speed and strength, and relieve stress.
Location: Currently, I'm open to traveling to meet you at a local gym or outdoor space. However, over the next few months, I'll be transitioning to meeting clients at a studio near downtown Dallas.
First Steps: Our initial meeting will be a free hour-long consultation. The first half will be introductions, discussing goals, and going over the structure of sessions and the overall Nak Muay Fitness program. The second half will be a short training session. You won't need to bring your own equipment to this initial training session, but if you decide to work with me, you will need to purchase the equipment described below.
Equipment Required:
* 12 to 16oz boxing gloves (e.g. Venum, Fairtex, Yokkao, TopKing)
* hand wraps (Mexican-style or gel is fine)
* low-profile, slim, medium-traction shoes (e.g. Feiyue, Adidas Samba)
Feel free to ask me any questions you might have about training gear!
