FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is simple; I have a flat rate on labor and I pass my contractor's discount on paint down to my customers. I also frequently give out gift cards to generous customers of mine who refer me to other projects.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's important for people to understand the how and why of proper home maintenance so I truly love explaining the ins and outs with people. Even if its something as simple as painting one room or fixing some stress cracks, knowing the right products to choose and how they perform is vital to a successful project and subsequently happy customers. I let the customer walk me through what they need to have accomplished, then go over every step of our process and how we will achieve their desires.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in this industry since I was in my teens (20 years ago). I worked as an apprentice to a painting contractor for a few summers then after high school went to work full-time for a large painting company. After many years with them, I moved to Texas to build a life of my own as I had hit the glass ceiling in my small hometown of Flagstaff, AZ. After a number of years being self-employed in the painting industry, I took a job managing the painting department for a kitchen and bath remodeling company. 5 years later, I went back to work for myself and here we are!
