- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on the project, I may request or charge a minimum $350 design consultation fee. I request a 50% deposit to start the project. If the project is a freestanding good, like furniture, sales tax will be added. If it's a built-in, then it's considered a service, no tax.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. The customer gives me their ideas and I give them feedback and suggestions. 2. I create a 3D sketch or rendering of the project with an estimate or quote. 3. When the client approves the project, I request a 50% deposit to start. 4. I provide updates and pictures throughout the build. 5. Once completed and/or delivered, final payment is due.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA from Louisiana State University. I also managed shops and taught furniture design at LSU, OU and UTA.
