Angela is great. She is teaching myself and my significant other how to communicate better and really boil down to what's going on in our relationship. We have been using what she has recommended and we are feeling successful. During our meetings she has always been open minded and full of great advice. She doesn't hesitate to ask questions that need to be asked. Scheduling is super easy and the location is nice and very accessible. Highly recommended for individual or couples coaching.

Clint has helped me get back in shape after being out the military for over 10 years! He's highly motivated and always willing to help you out. I haven't seen any other trainer that cares about a person living a healthy lifestyle as much as he does. His workouts are designed to make you succeed and just when you feel you can't do no more...his personality will get you through! I highly recommend Clint as a personal trainer!! There is no other quite like him in the area!!

Exercising is better received when you can have a fun time doing it. Cindi understands this and our first coaching session produced an additional amount of energy and some well worked muscle groups the next morning. I recommend her, highly.

I loved every minute of my weekly coaching/healing sessions with Satori. She is a gifted intuitive who draws on many holistic forms, moving gracefully from one to another during a session. Using a myriad of tools including books, readings, poems, cards, art, music, dance, yoga, core work, Chakra healing, meditation, guided visualization as well as intuitive listening and reflection, it was coaching like no other I have ever experienced! I have recommended her to several friends already.

Roberta’s coaching has helped me discover my goals and the changes I needed to make to reach those goals. By asking specific and targeted questions, she showed me that I was capable of figuring out my own solutions. Roberta motivated me to move forward and kept me accountable by having me create action steps. Emphasis on follow through ensured that I continued to make progress. I appreciated the fact that I had her undivided attention without ever being concerned that she was judging me.

My experience working with Xavier has been nothing short of amazing. As a former athlete I was looking to get back into shape and regain some of my youth. Over the course of working with Xavier I dropped over 30 lbs. while gaining a fair amount of muscle for a 40 year old. Many of the aches and pains were gone as my body transformed and I implemented the nutrition and weight training routines provided by Xavier. The knowledge I have gained has enabled me to live the active lifestyle that seemed far out of reach 4 years ago. Regardless of your age or gender...he works to develop lifestyle changes that his clients can implement and sustain for years to come. Even though he has moved to TX from MD, I still utilize many of the things he's taught me and have passed his knowledge along to other people walking the same path I was 4 years ago. I highly recommend people reading this review to contact Xavier and see for yourself.

I really appreciated her attention to my needs. I really needed a coach that would push me and keep me on track on days when I did not want to work out, and she did that! Not only did I go into our month session with a better understanding of how to utilize her workouts at my home and at a gym, she provided a meal plan that I could take with me after our session was over. Overall, I was very satisfied with all of the supplies Bri gave me for success and I'm so excited to continue my fitness journey.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

      What is a health coach?

A health coach is a service provider you can hire to help you realize your wellness goals. You can hire a health and wellness coach to guide you through life changes, keep you focused on weight loss or fitness goals, help boost your mental health, and more. Many health coaches work with their clients for set periods of time as the client moves toward a measurable goal. Wellness coaches come from varying backgrounds, and may have different areas of focus depending on their education and training. Research potential coaches by reading their reviews, researching their academic and personal backgrounds, and learning about any certifications they have earned from coaching institutes. Often, health and wellness coaches sell coaching packages ranging from three to six months or longer, depending on the client’s needs. The average national cost for an individual health coach session ranges from $60 to $90, although prices may range as low as $30 or up to $130 or more, depending on your location and the coach.

      What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

      Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.

What is a holistic wellness coach?

When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.

Although they are highly motivational and often can help clients achieve great results, holistic wellness coaches are not professional health care providers or registered dietitians. Different institutes and training centers provide certifications for holistic wellness coaching, so be sure to research your coach and read their reviews to understand more about their techniques and training.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
