Pure Batter Bakings red velvet cupcake was such a pleasant surprise. The cake was beautifully moist with a soft, tender texture and just enough denseness without overwhelming the palate. It had that signature red velvet richness without feeling heavy or overly dense. The cream on top was the perfect companion. Instead of being overly sweet or weighed down by butter, it was light, fluffy, and delicately balanced.As someone who typically prefers Asian-style desserts that are less sweet and more subtle, I went into this expecting it might be too rich like most. Instead, it was perfect. Nothing felt heavy, sugary, or overly indulgent. Each bite was smooth, flavorful, and incredibly well balanced.It turned a regular moment in the day into a little treat. Id definitely get it again.

Today I took a quick break during the workday and treated myself to this red velvet cupcake from Pure Batter Baking. The bread was soft and moist, with just the right hint of cocoa. The fluffy cream on top was light, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced the richness of the cake. A lovely little indulgence that made the afternoon feel a bit more special. Great companion to a cup of coffee!
