I have had few personal trainers in my quest to reach my goals in fitness for the past 3 years. So, this is not a new year resolution for me. Recently, my TWO!!!! different personal trainers have become a little hard to establish a routine. My overall progress in strength, cardio and flexibility have stalled. Having a bad lower doesn't help, but with a KNOWLEDGEABLE professional trainer, the sky is the limit. Enter here Adam Smith. He is what I was lacking to reach the next level. Adam was quick to communicate, easy to schedule and was on time. Today after my first session, I can tell I finally got a Professional Trainer, that knows his trade. The session was ALL fun, full of new challenges and most important safe to my lower back. The Kickboxing part was an eye opening fun experience. Having a Karate background, I felt back at home. Can't wait for the next session in 3 days. I guess that the saying: "Can't teach an old dog new tricks", doesn't apply to me. At 55 years young, I am ready to learn and kick some serious........ ;-) If you are stuck in your fitness journey or are looking for a lifestyle change, don't waste time and call Adam. I already did the research for you all. You welcome. LOL
This is a great gym! Total body workout with modifications to your own pace and ability. Great place to loose weight, tone up, increase strength and endurance all the while learning some self defense and boxing skill. Great place with great people!
I have been a member of this gym for many years and it is amazing. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. West Fort Worth is fortunate to have such a special fitness center. Brad does a fantastic job!
Great for learning skill in an effective martial art. I have a ton of fun in this class. If getting in shape and learning practical solutions to violent street altercations is what you're looking for, I'd recommend Defence Lab!
Christian has been my personal trainer for 15 years. He has kept me in great shape. He varies my routine to make it interesting and to reflect the latest knowledge in his field. He has a great personality and makes the workout time fly by. He is always reliable and shows up on time and seems to really care about all his clients. I would highly recommend Christian as a personal trainer.
Joye is extremely professional when she introduced herself and asked about what my potential goals were. She was prompt, assertive and knowledgeable about what I needed to begin a fitness program. Joye took my measurements and weight first. She then had me do exercises according to my level of fitness. She was thorough but not pushy. We worked together for six one-on-one sessions of an hour each. She showed me the tools I needed to help me reach my goals. She has a great attitude and I found it a pleasure to work with her.
Jernigans School of Karate provides a very welcoming and structured environment for students of all ages. Master Jernigan commands respect and is a good authority figure for the younger students. He develops you mentally, physically and spiritually by teaching lifelong lessons of self-defense, self-awareness, self-confidence, discipline and respect. As an adult student, the mental training has taught me to be more patient, relaxed, focused and confident. I have also benefited from the physical training as I am able to maintain my weight and I have more energy and stamina.
I have experience in nutrition and fitness, but Kay challenged me greatly. He taught me moves that I never thought of, and he consistently asked me if they were challenging enough, so he valued my input. I began my weight loss journey just right thanks to him!
I have studied Taekwondo with Kim Davis for 15 years. She is also my personal trainer. Kim designed a series of exercises to help me rehabilitate a rotator cuff injury and has shown me exercises that are "arthritis friendly." I highly recommend Kim Davis as a personal trainer and as a martial arts instructor.
My experience has been excellent! The workouts that I signed up for are one hour each and the combination of upper and lower body exercises have given me greater definition as well as muscle tone within a shorter amount of time. It is the first time that I have hired a trainer and truly seen results. Each workout is custom to my needs and at a pace that I feel comfortable. Definitely worth the time and investment!
