FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually decided to become ordained when I got married myself. My husband and I had to travel all the way to Iowa (from St. Louis, MO) to get married legally. At the time of our wedding, it was not legal to be married to a member of the same sex. The joy I felt on that day...the sense of belonging and being respected in our union was overwhelming. I desire to share that with others, and to offer the possibility to be married with dignity and respect.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I preside over all types of weddings.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure to check the credentials of the minister you are hiring. Make sure that they have a valid certificate or ordination and preferably a letter of good standing with their organization. Make sure your marriage is legal!
