We were sold instantly by his professionalism, energy, enthusiasm, and "let me tell it to you straight" attitude. We had planned to only hire a day-of planner to help with logistics on our wedding day, but after meeting with Trenard to discuss our needs we decided to hire him for full-service planning from day 1 until the day after our wedding (about 10 months). He helped with scheduling the ceremony at our local church, finding venues for reception and rehearsal dinner, hiring caterer, florist and even finding us a killer live band for an unbeatable price. He made our wedding better than we ever imagined given our modest budget and he more than paid for himself in terms of the money we saved on vendors and supplies by working through Savvy Orchid as opposed to DIY or purchasing an event package at a local hotel. Trenard went above and beyond-- not simply helping with event planning tasks like site visits and budget meetings-- he took time out of his personal life to help me find my wedding dress and to talk us through dealing with the inevitable wedding-related family drama. There are lots of event planners in the DC-metro area, but few--if any-- are as personally invested in their work and their clients as Trenard. I readily recommend Savvy Orchid to newly engaged friends and those looking to plan other events (e.g. fundraisers, holiday parties, bat mitzvahs, etc.).
