- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I utilize online training programs to stay current in my field as well as seminars and subscriptions to various publications.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into the IT profession initially out of frustration due to the lack of service providers in the small town that I was from. Anytime a computer issue came up, it involved a call to Houston, Austin, or Dallas for someone to come onsite to fix and made it very expensive. Once the frustration settled, I continued to work in the field because I enjoy helping people to get their problems solved and to teach them some new things that they didn't know before.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Some of the most common types of jobs that we do are; computer tune-ups, virus removals, software installation/troubleshooting, installing hardware, installing printers, home network setups, computer and mobile device management, customer tutorials and training.
