Mark and his team catered my niece's christening reception @ the Gite Gallery in April 2018. The Gite Gallery has preferred caterers; however, I never heard from either caterer after contacting them. Upon contacting Mark, I explained that a friend of mine had attended an event where his team caterer the food and raved about it so I felt it was kismet that we linked up on Thumbtack. I also explained to Mark that I live in northern Virginia, and that I would need a caterer to facilitate most of the interaction with the Gite Gallery. Mark hosted a tasting the week of the reception for my mother and I listened in over the phone. She RAVED about the food! Every item Mark brought out was better than the next! I received the same rave reviews from the 50 people that enjoyed the passed hor d'oeuvres and heavy appetizers over the 3.5 hour period of the party. His lovely wife served as the TABC bartender. We provided the wine, water, and sodas and she served our guests. The money I spent on the event was well worth it and the Gite Gallery owner is even planning on using Mark and his team for future events. Mark will also be the caterer of my rehearsal dinner and wedding (once the date and man are secured 😀) . It was an absolute pleasure to work with Mark, his lovely wife and his staff. His impeccable attention to detail is evident through the presentation of his food and options for seating at a venue that was extremely tight and didn't necessarily accommodate for seating. If you're looking for a caterer with years of experience and reasonably priced with attention to detail and the most AMAZING food, Dine Catering and Events should be your first and ONLY option!
Pamela reached out to me, mentioning she had helped plan a wedding at the venue we chose in the past. We scheduled a phone call to discuss details. During the call, I mentioned we felt uneasy after meeting with the venue, and that we had a follow-up meeting tomorrow. She offered right then and there to attend the meeting to help us navigate our needs, after which we could make a decision about both the venue and her. I was blown away! She showed up the next day at the venue on time and hugged me and my fiancé right out, no hand shakes. She put us at ease the whole time. The wedding we had been planning for 8 months turned out even better than we had envisioned because of Lisa. About a month out from our wedding day, we realized we had too many moving parts in our wedding day timeline with several different vendors (fresh flowers, paper flowers, DJ, mariachi, photographer, videographer, linens, venue, church, cake, Hora Loca/stilt performer) to try to coordinate it all ourselves, so we hired Lisa from Bella Luna Bridal, first because of the beautiful name of her company and second because she has such an awesome personality and is very smart. She communicated with every vendor and effectively dealt with two difficult ones, sparing us the hassle. We meet with her three times before the rehearsal/wedding day and she was very thorough and patient in discussing every little detail of our timeline and vendor list. She also took the time to go on a walkthough at the venue to better prepare. She communicated with us often and kept us on track on the days leading up to the wedding. I can stress out a lot, and was very stressed before walking down the aisle because, hello I'm about to get married and everything must be perfect! Lisa was there to calm me down and tell me that everything was going smoothly. From 1pm to 12am, and from walking down the aisle to exiting the venue surrounded by sparklers, I can say she and her assistant were always there taking care of all the behind the scenes tasks including directing guests and vendors and sticking to the timeline, as well as making sure we were comfortable. My parents couldnât stop gushing about her attentiveness and hardworking ethic. I can't count how many people have told me it was such beautiful wedding or called it an "Epic Wedding". The most valuable quality of her coordinating was that it allowed my husband and I to fully enjoy every bit of our fantastic wedding day.
Angie and her staff/family catered my daughter's wedding at The Outrigger in Willis, TX. There are not enough words to say how wonderful it is to work with Angie!! She is kind, gracious, so sweet and will go above and beyond to make your event perfect! She took care of cutting the cake for us, cleaned the dishes (that stayed at the venue) and just generally took care of so many extra things to help make the event flow beautifully. Her staff/family are just as sweet and helpful as Angie! They took care of things so I could just enjoy the wedding! The food: Angie is an amazing cook! Her food is phenomenal! Everyone was talking about how wonderful it was, and the next day I was still loving some of the leftovers for lunch AND dinner....and I wanted more! AND, she made my favorite cookies!! If I EVER need catering for an event Angie's Choice will be my first and ONLY call!!
Where do I start....Bridget did a phenomenal job in coordinating a last minute birthday party for our grandmothers 93rd birthday. We had a great deal of family and friends come from several different states to attend this special occasion. she assisted in finding a venue, preparing the agenda, providing favors, as well as creating our unique décor. Due to the amount of guest, she developed a website for guest to RSVP. By creating this site it created a flow of communication for the family. Overall, she was more than what we expected.. ..someone who was professional and punctual. Our event was a hit and will always be remembered as the best Birthday Tea Party ever!
My husband and I got married in September 2014 and started planning our wedding in January. We knew we wanted to have the wedding at our home but we wanted it to have all of the regular things a wedding has: full dinner, dancing, full bar, dj, etc so I knew hiring a Wedding Planner would help things run a lot more smoothly. I am kind of a control freak and I really wanted to plan most everything myself, so I really just needed a day of coordinator. I found Sharon Peoples off of Thumbtack after searching through countless other coordinators websites and even a couple over-the-phone and in person interviews. Sharon blew us away the day we met her. She came to our home for the meeting and immediately began taking notes and giving us ideas. Planning a wedding at your home is a pretty daunting task, or at least it was for us since we had just moved in a few months prior and we had a lot of work we wanted to do. Being January, all of our plants and grass were pretty much dead (or looked that way) but Sharon didn't flinch a bit when we told her we envisioned getting married in our backyard. She gave us a ton of information and ideas before we ever signed the contract and then she went over all of the details over what her packages included. She recommended we go with her Lady in Waiting package which is essentially a day-of coordinator package like we were looking for. However Sharon provided WAY more help which began immediately for us. She recommended vendors and exchanged innumberable emails with us leading up to the big day. She even met with a vendor for me when I was unable, and took over all of our vendors the month prior to the wedding. A few weeks before the big day she came again to our home to see how everything was coming along and go over the timeline with us. She again made lots of notes and recommendations on how to get things to run smoothly and she really listened to us as far as what kind of feel we were going for. We really didn't want things to seem too planned or scheduled. We wanted everything to just flow naturally while still adhering as close as possible to a timeline. The day of the wedding Sharon and her assistant (part of her business includes training other event planners) arrived on time. Her assistant's help is included in the original cost and they were BOTH amazing! Sharon immediately began seeing to everything that needed to be set up all while explaining to her assistant what the plan was and how we wanted everything set up. Sharon was an extremely professional and dependable coordinator who went out of her way to make our wedding run flawlessly! I was truly amazed that there were no hiccups during our wedding, and that everything just seem to happen so effortlessly! I would encourage anyone planning a wedding to hire Event Planners of Houston to help out EVEN if you are planning on keeping it simple or doing most everything your self. I really couldn't put a price on how nice it was for my husband, our families and I to just be able to relax the day of the wedding and not worry about what time it was or what should be happening next. Hiring Sharon was by far the BEST decision we made in planning our wedding and we are already discussing hiring her for future parties or events that we might have in the future.
The places Vanessa decorates are so gorgeous. I can always rely on her coming on time, making sure all the supplies are there, and making sure my guests love the decorations at my party. The pricing is always the best! I highly recommend you to ask Vanessa to decorate your special event, she will truly make it special for you and your friends.
Lavonda was amazing!!!! My decorations were very creative and well put together. She made my experience and party planning extremely stress - free. Every aspect in party planning was on point. I thank her so much. The lady, Yolanda at the venue was extremely unprofessional but my event in a whole was a great success.

Events by Kaley coordinated my rehearsal and wedding day from instructing the bridal party through rehearsal, to helping with decorations, to keeping everyone and everything on schedule on my wedding day! She worked side by side with my cake vendor, decorators, venue owner, and dj so that I could stay stress free and enjoy my day. Jaime Dilger was hired as the party planner for my Husband's 80th birthday party. One of the most important items I wanted complete was a slide show about his life from old pictures. We worked together for about 12 weeks on the slide show and the planning of the birthday party. Jaime set up dropbox so we could share photo for the slideshow. Jaime created a great slideshow with special effects. She also got quotes from 3 hotels and interviewed the caterer manager with me at each hotel. She worked with me on the menu, set up of the ballroom and decorations. She oversaw details and took pictures of the party. Jaime is very computer literate and is strong on power point. She is also very creative. She works hard for her client and I would feel comfortable recommending her services to my friends.
I contacted Keishawna (IYC Creations) initially to be a day of wedding planner. As we spoke, it became obvious I needed much more than one day of help. Keishawna worked closely with us from the beginning of January 2013 through our wedding on March 9, 2013. My only regret is that I didnt contact her the day I became engaged (oh, the stress I could have avoided). She performed so many duties, but a few that really showed off her talent and expertise were: helping us narrow down reception centerpieces and then designing gorgeous centerpieces for the tables, meeting with me at the venues to assure that she understood exactly what I envisioned for my day, responding to me extremely promptly when I contacted her, interfaced with vendors to make sure they were aware of timelines/expectations, located quality vendors that I had not hired yet, efficiently ran wedding rehearsal, decorated reception venue beautifully, kept actual ceremony on schedule, kept reception running smoothly by overseeing waitstaff, DJ, photographer, and guest issues. Keishawana and her team did all of this and a TON more with smiles on their faces and an incredible eye for details you would never think of but are oh so important. She took time to get to know my fiancé and me, so we truly felt she had an invested interest in our wedding day and marriage. As she works with you, you quickly see that placing your special day in her hands is the best decision youve made since saying Yes to your fiancé!!!
