Beata is helping me and my daughter choreograph a dance for the Father/Daughter dance at her upcoming wedding. After only one lesson, Beata had the choreography figured out and us dancing around the floor! One more practice lesson and I think we will be great. Very much enjoyed the whole experience.

Hired them to teach my fiancé and I a choreographed routine for our first dance. They were veru flexible and accomodating. They really got to know us as a couple and worked with our strengths and weaknesses. They made us feel comfortable even though we were doing something out of our comfort zone. Theu were willing to help in anyway possible. Absolutely great service. I would recommend.

Kelly's teaching style fits my style perfectly. She really understands dance and has really helped my dancing confidence. She is ontime, her scheduling is flexible, and with her personality, she makes the lessons fun. I recommend her for couples lesson, individual lessons as well as her ability to also do group lessons as I have done all three types with Kelly.

Emmy is very sweet and kind and fun to learn from! She is knowledgeable and focuses on making sure form is correct so that you can master more advanced moves. She has taught us several different dances, including the waltz we will dance at our wedding. We love our lessons with her, and will continue them long after our wedding day. Group lessons are especially fun, because you get to learn from others Emmy has been teaching for years.

I have been studying ballroom dance under David Conner for over 3 years. Since that time, I have done 4 showcases at different venues, 2 competitions and will compete again at the end of May 2018. Mr. Conner is an outstanding dance instructor in that he cares about his students learning the different ballroom dances in the correct manner. He teaches not only the steps but also “the why and the how”. He cares that the student is properly prepared to compete, to perform, to dance at one’s wedding or out socially—whatever the goal, he is the best at helping you succeed. He has a wide range of dance experience. I highly recommend Mr. Conner and Conner Dancesport if you are interested in learning to ballroom dance or any of the other areas such as ballet and tap (just a few) that he can teach. Happy Dancing!

Working with Mose was an incredible experience. He over exceeded my expectations. He made the choreography easy to learn even though it seemed challenging at first. We laughed almost the whole time. He made the whole experience fun and his creativity and ability to adapt everything to my personality was amazing. Can't wait to work with him again. I highly recommend him!

Truc Ly Tran is one of the most passionate and dedicated dancers I've ever met in my life. Fortunately, I got the chance to be instructed by her in more than five performances in the last three years. I've never enjoyed dancing until I learned how to dance from Truc Ly. Her ways of teaching makes me yearn to go to practice everyday because I enjoy her choreography. Over the past few years, she choreographed pieces that involved hip-hop, contemporary, modern, ballet, and many more. From my experiences, I can tell that her love for dancing is so powerful that it radiates. She puts thought into each dance move and ensure that every dancer perfects every detail in her choreography. Truc Ly tends to choreograph for a group of people that ranges from 20 to 40 people. She has the ability to keep everyone under control and at the same time teach us all how to do each move. When a person is having trouble, she's willing to work with that person and wouldn't let anyone be left out.

    About

I am a dancer who recently went to graduating from Booker T. Washington High School for the performing and visual arts, and I am currently in the process of getting a bachelor's degree in dance from Point Park University, which is one of the top schools in the U.S for dance. I have been dancing since the age of three, with multiple studios around the DFW metroplex, as well as competed in multiple competitions around the U.S. I also have currently worked with children from the ages of 3-17, teaching them different styles in dance. I have trained in all styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, modern as well as trained with Complexions Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive. I love being able to teach young kids the art of dancing. I think that it is a great way to stay active and in shape for young children as well as kids in their teens. I have choreographed audition pieces for dancers who applied to Booker T. Washington High School for performing and visual arts and were accepted into the program. I have performed in New York multiple times including for the Roberta Flack Tribute Concert at the Joyce Theatre in New York City. If you want to learn how to dance or even just to be able to hold a beat and a groove, I am the person to contact. I am very passionate about my work, and I would love to be able to share my artistry with the world through the different styles of dance. Not only is this a fun sport, but it also keeps you very active and in shape.

I have also performed at DFW area venues, including Byblos Lebanese Restaurant, The Greek Isles restaurant, and various private parties for women and families around the Metroplex. I have also studied and performed Polynesian dance, including both traditional and modern hula.

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do dance lessons cost?

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50. Some studios offer a discounted introductory lessons or group lessons, as well as package deals that are more affordable than paying for individual lessons. Some dance instructors will travel to the student’s home, which usually costs more, while others hold small-group sessions in their studios. If you choose a small-group class, expect to pay less than for individual dance lessons.
