Liam is an extremely talented pianist with very effective teaching methods. I recently joined his class a month ago and due to covid, our sessions have been online. He has made sure that the online lessons are as effective and interesting as his classroom ones. Liam is punctual and makes it a point to meet once a week. Based on my musical background and knowledge, Liam was able to adjust our lessons to the level of instruction that was necessary to meet our goals. Thanks to his positive and encouraging teaching style, lessons have always been enjoyable. I would certainly recommend him to any one who has always wanted to learn piano.Apr 25, 2020Verified
we have only had two lessons, but so far so good. liam is flexible and is catering to the needs of a "different kind of" student. i would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for piano instruction.Jun 16, 2015Verified
Liam has been an excellent teacher for our 11 year old daughter. She had been taking lessons for 5 years before she started with him and has progressed enormously in the first few months with him. She has taken on more interesting and difficult pieces and has been enjoying the lessons and her time with piano! We recommend him highly!Apr 4, 2015Verified
I am learning piano for the first time at an adult age which definitely presents many challenges different from a normal younger student. But Liam has been very patient and helpful in teaching me and has also been very flexible with my work/personal schedule if I could not make a lesson.Mar 30, 2015Verified
I'd been plunking away at the piano by myself for about a year when I decided to take lessons from Liam. I'm so glad I did. He is a challenging teacher but manages to also be fun and funny. I leave my lessons with a new set of objectives to practice over the week which helps me continue to make progress. His lessons are the perfect mix of technique and artistry. Highly recommended.May 16, 2015Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Each student has unique needs. Duration and frequency of lessons, as well as cost, are tailored in a plan specific to each individual.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My philosophy is that every student learns through his or her unique method. I always try to balance a student's technical abilities with an equal emphasis on their sight reading skills. Scales and arpeggios are an important building block for students that I always emphasize.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am currently working on PhD in Piano Performance at The University of North Texas. I am taking Piano Pedagogy as my related field, which makes me uniquely suited to teach students in the art of performing piano. I received an artist diploma from the Juilliard School in New York City and hold a degree from the Frederic Chopin Institute of Music in Warsaw.
