FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every body is different so every massage I give will be catered to what is best for you! I always ask my customers a lot of general questions to figure what type of massage they are needing. I ask if they have any injuries (soreness, stiffness, tightness and pain as well). I ask what type of work you are in, and if you play any sports. It's always important to get relevant medical background so I will ask about any illnesses, disease, pregnancies, stroke/heart attack, etc. to be sure there aren't any contraindications with massage therapy. I always customize my massage if you are suffering from any medical problems or physical disabilities.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist with over 300 hours of class time. I have certificates in Reflexology, Sports Massage, Shiatsu Massage, Hot Rock Massage, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki and much more.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a gift for massage therapy. Back in 1992 when I was still working in the boat business I had several co-workers and friends tell me I had a gift with my hands and were amazed how strong, yet soft my hands were. From there I decided to pursue massage therapy and have been loving every minute of it.
