FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I talk with and listen to my students to learn more about them. Their interests, likes, dislikes, find out what type of music they like including bands and artists, how much experience they have playing guitar if any. I take the time to get to know their personality and find out who THEY are. So I can better adjust their lessons in a way that will not only make it easier for them to learn, but to enjoy it. This helps me to teach them what they want and need to learn and know to play the music they like and to play it well and enjoy it more.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar for more than 30 years and teaching for more than 17 years. I have taken and continue to take lessons from world renowned famous major label recording artist Paul Gilbert, Steve Stine, along with other instructors. I have played in a wide variety and types of bands. Including performing as a solo artist to many different size bands from quite small to 10 + more players / singers also in a wide variety of genres including blues, rock, country, top 40, heavy metal, hard rock, Christian / praise and worship, pop, funk, and more with some bands incorporating several genres together.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First -the person you hire needs to have a passion for music and sharing it with others. It can't be just a paycheck to them. Not if you want the best. Secondly and most important -make sure the person you hire is who they say they are, to the best of your ability.
