Cathy and her team respond to messages very quickly! No waiting around for days for a response. My fiance and I had so much fun with lessons that my parents decided to take lessons from Josh as well. He has such a variety of knowledge and more importantly patience! My fiance and I have ZERO dance background and Josh makes sure to explain things in different ways if we don't pick it up right away. We want to start salsa lessons with them after the wedding!

We took private lessons; first, for a wedding and then, just for fun. We can’t wait to take group lessons to keep improving.

Kennedy was a phenomenal dance instructor! She prepared my colleagues and I for our holiday company party by teach the fundamentals of popular dance styles in the 1920s. She was very enthusiastic, punctual and knowledgeable about that era! Thank you, again, Kennedy!

So far Chris has been AMAZING! He met up with me just to iron out our game plan, and within a few minutes of chatting I was getting excited for the first lesson! I am surprising my fiancée with dance lessons for the two of us so we can prepare for our wedding. Chris clearly and enthusiastically shared his philosophy and approach to teaching dance, and at this point, I feel very confident we are in great hands for our wedding dance prep!! More than just a great verbal coach (as I have not had the first formal lesson yet), he is easy to get along with! I found myself wanting to go grab a coffee with him just to chat some more. That is an important component to me because feeling awkward or uncomfortable would certainly not help one learn how to dance! He has so far been unimaginably accommodating, and seems to very much desire feedback, so as far as I am concerned, I have made the right decision.

I have been studying ballroom dance under David Conner for over 3 years. Since that time, I have done 4 showcases at different venues, 2 competitions and will compete again at the end of May 2018. Mr. Conner is an outstanding dance instructor in that he cares about his students learning the different ballroom dances in the correct manner. He teaches not only the steps but also “the why and the how”. He cares that the student is properly prepared to compete, to perform, to dance at one’s wedding or out socially—whatever the goal, he is the best at helping you succeed. He has a wide range of dance experience. I highly recommend Mr. Conner and Conner Dancesport if you are interested in learning to ballroom dance or any of the other areas such as ballet and tap (just a few) that he can teach. Happy Dancing!

He's one of the most passionate dancers/teachers I've ever met! He's fun to work with and he has a lot to offer! He's an amazing dancer/teacher and that I'd gladly take his class any day. Also, as a dance teacher myself, I highly recommend him.

Leslie did a wonderful job choreographing something simple for my daughter's wedding on short notice. She came up with something fun for both the daddy-daughter dance and the bride and grooms first dance.

About

I am a dancer who recently went to graduating from Booker T. Washington High School for the performing and visual arts, and I am currently in the process of getting a bachelor's degree in dance from Point Park University, which is one of the top schools in the U.S for dance. I have been dancing since the age of three, with multiple studios around the DFW metroplex, as well as competed in multiple competitions around the U.S. I also have currently worked with children from the ages of 3-17, teaching them different styles in dance. I have trained in all styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, modern as well as trained with Complexions Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive. I love being able to teach young kids the art of dancing. I think that it is a great way to stay active and in shape for young children as well as kids in their teens. I have choreographed audition pieces for dancers who applied to Booker T. Washington High School for performing and visual arts and were accepted into the program. I have performed in New York multiple times including for the Roberta Flack Tribute Concert at the Joyce Theatre in New York City. If you want to learn how to dance or even just to be able to hold a beat and a groove, I am the person to contact. I am very passionate about my work, and I would love to be able to share my artistry with the world through the different styles of dance. Not only is this a fun sport, but it also keeps you very active and in shape.

About

Yes, we do teach general dance lessons for those interested in dancing for hobby, sport, or just social interaction, so you can keep up with the crowd! For brides and grooms, read on. We teach dance at your wedding. We are choreographing the moment. You have all the details planned, but did you remember dance lessons for the first dance at your wedding reception? There should be much more style and showmanship to your first dance than watching out for your partner's toes and standing in the middle of the floor, rocking back and forth. Oh, no! The penguin dance. Don't do it, please. Are you deathly afraid of boring your guests or dancing like you were still in grade school (every bride's and especially the groom's fear)? Prepare for your wedding reception's first dance by letting us choreograph a first dance that will look great on your video, dazzle your family and friends, and be fun for you! Come with your first dance wedding song in hand, or discuss choosing the right music. Learn how to work with your dance space, shaping, frame and form. Learn the steps to the most popular wedding dances (foxtrot, 3-step country, waltz, 2-step country, rumba, nightclub two step and social slow dance), and/or the more exotic first dances which usually requires private sessions also (tango, Viennese waltz , salsa, swing and many more)! Receive tips on how to enjoy yourself while creating a memorable first dance by playing to the audience and each other; then, add lighthearted flourishes like a well-timed wink, spinning the bride, kissing her hand, or a bow and curtsy. More adventuresome couples may want to add a special flair or even a dip! Leave the class with the confidence to let go of your fears, and create a dance to remember! You've made a vow to wed; now, make a vow to dance with Dallas First Dance! We have several class options available for you such as private lessons (one couple with one instructor) in which you have a full hour to discuss issues that you may have with your routine, and be able to work with your first dance to the music that you have chosen in a private setting. Recently, a popular option has become semi-private group classes in which you choose up to seven couples of your choice for instruction on the dances most suited to your event. This option is great for the whole wedding party! See you on the floor!
