Circus theme first birthday party
Photos and Videos
We had a terrible experience with Doza Dezigns. I wish and hope no one ever have to face such an embarrassment & anxiety we faced on a very special & important day for our life (1st Birthday of our Lil one). We were almost crying our heart out when they didn't respond to our calls / messages for continuous 2 hours before the scheduled time and showed up just an hour before the birthday party with just one guy with a lot of decor missing which they initially agreed on. We were told Krissy who was truly a kind person in our first meeting had an injury and couldn't reach out. We were really sorry to hear that but was expecting someone to reach out to us / or called the venue to inform to have us a chance to make some arrangements. Due to short of time me along with my 2 of my family members (and later even some guests) helped to wrap up trying to make it to the event (inflating balloons, center pieces, stage setup, getting the spray paint from home depot) We were delayed by an hour in our own event and had to call other guests to come a little late due to the mess. Overall all they did was the backdrop & balloon arc. Marvin who called himself as a boss offered as $50 as discount...and kept insisting for paying the balance immediately. We wanted to talk to Krissy about this but this guy started to judge our intentions & said he never wanted to take up our project & said irrespective of service we get paid. Sharing one of his text response below as it was sent to us and how badly they conduct the business. I read a similar review from one of the other thumbs-rack customer but regret it now why we dint took it seriously. "I ask Krissy not to take your account, but she she said what a great couple y'all were, but I knew I was right. But I still listened to Krissy go ahead. Y'all never happy, even if everything went right y'all would find something to complain about and would want more deal. And y'all asked to help me, I would've work better by myself. Would it been better if I never showed up, never cared about business and just went to take care of Krissy. I wish I would've not even have wasted my time. That would've been better right. Trust me I know exactly what you felt, we been through it. We had a party and the decorations weren't what we expected but like anything you ask for service, we paid. God means well and for what ever the reason was, he knows why things happened the way they did. So it's your call , you choose to your next move wisely. Thank you sir. Deepanshu, I cannot apologize enough for what happened on the day of your event. Unfortunately, between the accident and being rushed to the ER I did not have an opportunity to grab my cell phone so any calls you made to me were unanswered during these few hours. As soon as I was stable and able to get to a phone I immediately contacted Marvin, the owner of Doza Dezigns, so that he could step in for me while I was being attended to at the hospital. I confirmed with you all on the morning of the event that we were prepared to set everything up and we were not scheduled to begin setting up until 4:00 pm, and your party was scheduled to start at 6:00 pm. After discussing with Marvin I was able to confirm that he did arrive 15 minutes after 4pm, and for that I apologize. There are two Bawarchi's in Irving and he got mixed up. I am sorry you were anxious about your event but a 15 minute delay is not unreasonable and would definitely not result in your event starting late. As far as Marvin requesting payment, the balance was already past due and rather than continuing to pressure you all for payment, he simply began setting up in order to have everything set up timely. I understand that there was an insistence that your friend be allowed to assist him with setting up for the event. While Marvin initially declined assistance after being pressured he stopped setting up to show those who insisted on helping what they could do. After the set up was complete, Marvin once again requested payment of the balance that was already past due and you all refused to make the payment. It was not until almost two weeks after the event that we finally received a partial payment of your balance. While I wish that things would not have transpired the way that they did on the day of your event, and I would not have been in the emergency room, I glad that Marvin was able to make it to you all to ensure that we were able to meet our end of the contract. The pictures are adorable and I hope that you all were able to enjoy your evening. We have already waived the remainder of your balance and again apologize that I was not able to make it myself.

I have been really struggling on how to write this review, because I cannot find the right words to describe how amazing Krissy and her team at Doza Designs were. My command throws a Holiday ball every year and normally I am the decorator (I make the centerpieces, programs, and everything else that is required). However this year was our 50th Anniversary and our committee decided to make it special and have a more festive theme with Balloons. I do not do balloons. So I was freaking out to say the least. My lifesaver and all around decorating angel was Krissy and her team. Not only did they do the wonderful centerpieces for over 30 tables (6 that were added at the last minute), they also did the archways, the photo display, and did all of the table lay out so that I could actually get ready for the ball (I never get to do that, and I mean never!). Krissy and her team went above and beyond driving over 150 miles to our event on post, they arrived early and finished on-time. Everyone at the event were so impressed with the decor, that they even ended up "stealing" the centerpieces. People took pictures in front of the archways, had fun with the balloons on the dance floor, and the just couldn't get enough of the decor. I was impressed with Krissy professionalism during the whole event, any question I had she answered, sent me a list of supplies that was very detailed, and helped me out when I was stressing out about having to add 6 more tables. She and her teams were true lifelines for me during this whole process and I would gladly work with them in a heartbeat.Jan 2, 2020Verified

These 2 panel drape costs me 150$. The guy who came to put the drapes was nice to add a little bit of baloons but everybody that saw this 2 panel drape said it was expensive. When i made the deal with Krizzy i was in an understanding that they will put a drape and decorate but when they came the 150$ they said was only 2 panel drape, it was a nightmare for us so my husband went to party city last minute to put more balloons drapes and decorations . when we attempted to cancel Krizzy said there’s no tefund for cancellation.... but the guy who came was nice and said he will try to make it pretty....overall i thank the guy who came but to be honest i will never recommend them to anybody.Mar 11, 2019VerifiedDoza Dezigns's reply
Lourdes, We apologize for any misunderstanding; however your request to us was solely to provide pink and purple drapes to cover boxes in your garage so that you could host a party for your daughter. It was our understanding that this last minute request was made as you originally planned for the party to be outside but the weather required for you to move it inside. We agreed on the price for the rental prior to us sending and you paying the invoice. Unfortunately, my partner did not have additional decorating supplies on hand to accommodate your additional requests. He did however offer to assist your husband with building an arch and two columns for no additional cost, though your husband refused his assistance. I am sorry you were no pleased with our services, please give me a call so we can discuss other options for you.

I had a horrible experience with doza designs. Firstly they came in late to set up the decor, I was so anxious and I called them several times but nobody responded, then finally they showed up at 2.00pm close to party time. Secondly doza designs forgot to bring my child's personalized name for water bottles and lastly the whole balloon arch ,cake table was not solid. Immediately they left, in about an hour everything was falling. This is my child's first birthday party I'm talking about here, I was so stress up and embarrassed at the party. Everyone started asking who did this decor? And I was speechless. Honestly I will not recommend them to anyone. In my opinion their quality of material or work is not worth the price. Before I forget, the cake stand was not strong enough to hold the cake and the cake almost fell, I had to hold it down myself at the party. The party was a nightmare because of doza designs.Jul 9, 2019VerifiedDoza Dezigns's reply
It is unfortunate that you have chosen to go on to write negative reviews about our work after we have secured the video showing you and your guests dismantling the balloons from the backboard to give to the children at the party. We respectfully request that you cease making false statements about our work quality. Additionally, please make payment for your outstanding balance which is well beyond past due.
First time getting someone to decorate a party and I was impressed and loved it. Wonderful comments from the guest on decorations. A satisfied customer will definitely use again.Oct 1, 2019Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We understand that if you are having an event it is for a special reason and deserves to be the best, but shouldn’t break the bank.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I generally prefer to meet face to face or by phone at minimum so we can get to know each other and I can learn their style and taste. More importantly so we can discuss details of the project. After our initial meeting I will provide a written quote with details about expectations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Decorating and planning events is a passion that cannot be learned through textbooks. That said we do keep up with latest trends through educational workshops. We are also certified balloon artists.
