FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I got my CDL when I was in my early 20's so I got used to pulling trailers and driving big trucks early in life and today that experience really helps me to be a safe courteous driver. Also My crew leader has been a moving helper for over 20 years so together we have a awesome team with many years of experience in the moving and transportation industry. I am always looking online doing research on how to safely move furniture so we don't get those small nicks and scratches. I know if I were moving myself, I would want my items to arrive the same condition as they were before the move.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was looking for a second income, while watching tv one day I saw a reality show where they bid on moving loads so I thought to myself why don't I try that. Well It landed me my very first moving job in Kingwood TX. At the time I didn't know anything about moving, but I gave it a try and It worked out very well. The customer was very nice and it made me feel accomplished at the end of the day. After that initial job I did go work for a big major moving company here in Houston TX so I can learn more about the moving industry. That's how it all started :-)
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We are very proud of the recent volunteer moving helpers we had who would volunteer for us to get the elderly and disabled moved safely.
