About

I contacted Warren several months ago about having a special circumstance with timing as I was coming to visit family members in the Dallas area. I needed to have as many lessons as possible over a 1 month period that I could handle before returning to another state and city where good guitar teachers are few and far in-between. I had 10 years of piano as a child and young teen, and only three guitar lessons as a teen. I had no idea how to really apply piano theory to the guitar, and was at a point I wanted to do more only having about 95% efficiency in basic chords. After a month of Warren working my fingers off I actually have a much better understanding of where I need to continue to go in order to reach a higher level in my playing! I feel that his knowledge and ability to explain things has made that possible. Whenever I didn’t understand, I never had a concern about asking him to re-explain, and he never acted as if that was any imposition. I would recommend Warren to anyone that was looking for someone to give them a solid base in guitar theory and application. I will be back for more help anytime I am able to make my way back to Dallas, hopefully building on the steps he has shown me in between. Warren is a good solid teacher and an all around really nice person. KC Hernandez

About

I took eight guitar lessons from Vic over a period of about 10 weeks. He was flexible with scheduling and made me as a beginner very comfortable. His method of teaching is very effective in helping you understand and learn how to play at all positions on the guitar. Vic helped me understand not only what I was doing but why.

About

I am an adult student and have taken guitar lessons on and off with various guitar teachers for the past 12 years. I have been working with Mark for the past year. I have learned more in 1 year with Mark than I have over the past 5 years with other instructors. Mark pushes you to learn (in a friendly way) all aspects of music (theory, technique, ear training, etc). His lessons make you think. I also appreciate that Mark tailors my lessons to my specific personality type and challenges me to get better at each lesson.

About

I know Mr. Tommy Katona for more than seven years now, I learned quite a big chunk of my guitar skills from him. Suffice to say, I was stunned by his prowess from day one, but the incredible ability he possesses to make you understand and really 'listen' to the matter at hand is remarkable. Very patient and always charming, easily making you feel comfortable and release students' self-distrust quickly - a real teacher of guitar mojo. I can recommend this guy over anybody but I got to warn you: sitting and listening to Tommy play for two minutes makes you want to learn to play guitar in an irreversible desire. Way to go, bro'!

About

Carl Herod has been an exceptional music teacher to my two sons for the past four years. Beginning with piano lessons and expanding into percussion and guitar lessons, we spend an hour a week with Carl and he packs our time with quality learning. He brings knowledge and expertise to MANY aspects of music. The boys learn rudiments and technical theory, but also improvisation and ear training. His teaching style is laid back and relaxed. He responds equally well to my older "by the book" son and my second "more eccentric" son and brings out their love of learning with varied methods of instruction.I anticipate continuing our teacher/student relationship with Carl for the next five years and I am confident that my boys will have a life-long love of music in large part because of Carl.

About

Our eight year old grandson is taking guitar lessons from Ian. I sit and listen in another room during the guitar lesson and have found Ian will recommend a viable solution to any frustration encountered by our grandson during the lesson. Ian is very patient and moves the lessons along when needed or slows the lessons down when there is a skill set needing to be accomplished for progress. During a recent lesson I overheard our grandson say "This is going to be fun" when he heard the next song Ian was teaching him. He was so excited about the lesson he memorized it before he went home to play it for his parents. Our grandson is always ready for his next guitar lesson with Mr. Ian.

About

I met Vadim for a free consultation and have since had two lessons with him. He is a very good teacher and has his own unique ways of explaining basic concepts. Students studying with Vadim will be very well grounded in basic classical guitar technique. I myself teach music lessons and understand the importance of building a solid foundation in the basics. There are great players on any instrument who can't teach, and there are great teachers who can't play. Vadim is the total package, one of those individuals who can do both very well. I'm looking forward to a long and fruitful teacher/student relationship with him.

School of Rock has been motivating children to rock on stage and in life for over ten years. Established in 1998 as a single school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, School of Rock has become a growing worldwide franchise, operating 69 schools in the US and Mexico. We take students from the lesson room to the stage, building both their confidence and musicianship with programs designed for all skill levels. School of Rock teaches drums, keyboards, guitar, bass, and vocals, and combines weekly group band rehearsals and private music lessons to train students to go on stage in front of live audiences in an authentic concert setting. To date, our students have played countless of concerts, to more than 100,000 people, at legendary venues, such as CBGB, The Big Easy, The Trocadero, The Whiskey, The Knitting Factory, The Experience Music Project, The Roxy, and BB King's Blues Club in Times Square. We have also had the amazing luck to be able to play at music festivals from Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza to Zappanale in Bad Doberan, Germany.

About

I am a life-long musician with a passion for teaching students the guitar and helping songwriters achieve their goals. I have a degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston and have been teaching guitar lessons since 2006. I am a songwriter myself and play all over the US and the world under the name 'Troy Cartwright'. I have played guitar for almost 10 years now and have been writing songs for almost as long. My customers love my approach to teaching. I like to make it fun for the students and to teach based on their passions. If there is a song you really like, I'll try and take pieces of that song and teach the material that way. I'm not one of those teachers who tries to force musical knowledge into your brain by playing scales over and over again. That's not fun for you or for me.
