Introduction: CranioSacral therapy is a one-stop kind of therapy that combines elements of many other modalities; it is the flagship of bodywork. It incorporates work with the fascia (connective tissue) and the structures it surrounds, fluids, energy, nerves, muscle, bone, meridians, and the body/mind connection. This is how it is able to be so powerful and versatile. Most people practicing CranioSacral Therapy have taken only one or two classes. I have been a full-time CranioSacral Therapist since 2001, having taken 24 classes all over the country and internationally, and I was extensively trained by the founder of CranioSacral Therapy, osteopath Dr. John Upledger. I am frequently referred by other therapists or licensed professionals when they have hit the limit of what they can do for a client/patient. I am a specialist and rarely cannot help a client with whatever they come for help with. I love the wide variety of people and conditions they present with, and the fact that I can nearly always help. Most of all I love it when someone has struggled with something all their lives, often having seen many other practitioners without success, and I am able to help them! Many times people come in for one problem and find many other problems resolved, especially ones that they thought were permanent, or attributed to "aging." When you restore the body's internal communication, the body is self-healing and self-regulating, and that's what a CranioSacral therapist does, through slow neurological releases.

Sandy provides a place where you can be in stillness and allow the body to release tension and heal. My kids and grandkids have sessions with her as well and we all look forward to "our time" of healing!

Sandy is an amazingly caring professional. She is confident, knowledgeable and blessed with a gift to help others. My son has only had one session with her and I am impressed and very grateful for the results I have been noticing each day. My son will be continuing sessions with Sandy as she has given hope again to his situation which has been at a stand still for a while. We are very blessed to have found Sandy. She is personable and she truly does have compassion and concern for helping others. I will never be able to thank Sandy enough for the help she is giving to my son.

I had vertebra out of place in my neck that causing periodic pain. I was seeing a chiropractor for a year to correct without success. Sandy was able to get my neck freed up and the vertebra has remained in place since. She has been able to correct multiple issues with severe back pain. Perhaps most profoundly, Sandy has released issues of old emotional trauma in my body, which have left me feeling much lighter--more free and functional. GREAT stress relief!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Important: My fees are based on a 90-minute session. Experience has shown that longstanding issues of tension and guarding require more than an hour to get to a point of effective melting. It's the clients themselves who have requested that length of session, saying "I feel like we're just getting near a breakthrough and have to stop. Can we go for 90 minutes?" Be sure you are comparing the same session length, considering why a longer session works better, and also that I have 10 times the training and experience of 90% of the other professionals out there!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have taken virtually every course in the CranioSacral curriculum. At this point, my clients' bodies are my (most excellent) instructors, as are my trade partners.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

It is the marriage of my two great loves--psychology (tissue memory) and bodywork--that I didn't even know existed!...until I discovered it. I started out doing massage, but this work is orders of magnitude more effective, because of the energy component that allows for more direct communiction with the body and mind.
