Alex Silver's Lessons
Introduction: At Silver's Sax Lessons, I use the experience and knowledge that I have acquired from over 10 years of playing and studying music to teach students how to take their playing to the next level and reach their goals.
I attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, TX, and am now one semester shy from graduating from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, a conservatory in New York City.
I find the best way to learn is in a fun, stress-free environment where the instructor pays close attention to the needs of their students. I believe in cultivating an appreciation for jazz and other styles of music, paying close attention to detail, and building a strong foundation through focused practice.

Alex was my teacher during this summer and I had a wonderful experience of working with a young but dedicated teacher. He accommodated my needs and level and I wish it could have lasted longer than the summer break allowed. I strongly recommend him.

I started studying with Alex almost a year ago and he has been very supportive and patient with me and my development since the beginning. He seems to always know what to pinpoint in our lessons that address the trouble spots in my playing. He always has a unique and fun way of getting points across that make it easy to understand. I highly recommend Alex to anyone who wants to get better at Saxophone.

Alex was highly recommended by my daughter's classical saxophone private instructor after she expressed great interest in Jazz. Alex was able to get her ramped up for audition and acceptance to the GDYO Jazz Institute within a few short months through focused lessons and lots of practice. Although, Alex is not always in the same city to provide lessons in person, he has been able to provide solid lessons via video chat which has worked out extremely well. We are very pleased that Alex continues to provide lessons to our daughter who loves this great art form!

Not only is Alex an amazing player, but he is a great teacher as well. He always provides positive reinforcement that leaves you feeling confident. The excersises that he suggested yield fast and keep you motivated to keep learning, practicing, and progressing on your instrument.
