We had a sewer backup in our home after AT&T fiber installers hit our line while trenching in our yard. The damage was extensive and we had to do a large repair and renovation of our home. Drywall, flooring, plumbing, carpentry/framing, stained concrete, painting, electrician, stairs, railing, etc. I talked to 8 general contractors and got quotes while fighting with the insurance company. It was a very stressful time. Compass’ bid was one of the most reasonable in price. But most importantly, David sat down with me on 3 or 4 separate occasions for hours to make sure he understood what I wanted and that I understood my options and their cost. No other contractors did this after first visit. This was a big job, and it was my first major renovation on my home, so I was glad to have someone who seemed like they cared about what I wanted and getting it right. With big jobs like this there are going to be unforeseen issues, like an unexpected sewer exhaust line behind a wall, and Compass always worked with me to resolve the issue and in most cases, they worked with me and in some cases charged me nothing and in the others they just charged their cost to resolve it without any markup. On jobs as big as this one, there are always going to be mistakes made at times, so the most important thing to me is what does a company do when they make a mistake? Compass took care of any issues I had with the work during the finishing inspections and they resolved them at no extra cost before requesting final payment. If you want good work for a fair price with someone who genuinely cares about your project then call David at Compass.
