In the past, I would focus on a single piece, repeat it until I could play it well, and then move on. Now it feels like I’m building a foundation that will let me pick things up much faster and play my own versions of songs. I’m especially looking forward to being able to sit down at the piano, hear something, and feel comfortable improvising, playing by ear, and jamming. I hold a degree in Music Education from Ohio Wesleyan University. I am a multi-instrumentalist specializing in piano and trumpet, with over 7 years of experience performing in the Chicago music scene and in locations including Arizona, the Florida Keys, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Colorado. I am a member of the Bluewater Kings Band, a highly selective organization of professional musicians who perform at high-profile events and weddings across the country. Membership requires ongoing auditioning, reflecting a continued standard of excellence and professionalism. I have also performed multiple times at the House of Blues Chicago, further reflecting my professional-level experience and stage presence.
