- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Computer consulting, teaching, and tutoring is $40 an hour. There is a minimum of half an hour if you meet me close to my location. For your convenience, I will come to your location, for a minimum of one to two hours, depending on where you live. I am temporarily waiving the service call fee; all I ask is that you leave a review if you are happy with the services. Malware removal services are difficult to estimate without looking at your computer. If you want me to come look at the computer first I will check the condition for $25 (inside 1604). If you hire me this $25 will be credited towards my services. The minimum for malware repair is $40 at your location. Sometimes the operating system becomes so corrupt with malware that it needs to reinstalled. In this case the malware removal will cost $75. If your files need to be backed up there may be an additional charge and you will need media to back up the files on. Some computers may require a restore disk that needs to be ordered from the manufacturer in this case. Computer Setup is normally $40 at your location (inside 1604). You can add any peripherals (like a printer or a wireless router) setup for $20 each.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I listen to the customer's problem without rushing to any conclusions. Next, we can discuss the best solution to the problem. I can travel to your home or office, we can meet somewhere, or I can pick up your computer and return (usually in 24 hours). Service at your home is included in any pricing quotes (inside 1604). We can do whatever is most convenient for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have one year of college that was focused on Computer Information Systems. I have taken the courses for A+ (computer hardware) and Network+. I have attended online training on Malware removal (60 hours or more). I am currently enrolled in FreeCodeCamp training for web development and other programming skills.
