I have been taking my dog to different groomers over a year. I have never been pleased as much as I was today with Dirty Dawg Wash. Jess took so much time grooming my dog and did an outstanding job. My search is over for a groomer because I have found the perfect match. My dog looked and smelled great. Thank you so very much.!!! You rock and again awesome job...

Our 2 dogs were groomed the same day I first called Pink Poodle. They were way overdue for a grooming and Pink Poodle had them looking like a million bucks! The owner. Diana Gonzales, is very friendly and quite pleasant. Her groomers did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the grooming and will take them there again.

My husband and I have been very happy to have found Janet Echavarry from A Better Dog Training, Inc. We had adopted a rescue dog back in March. The we decided to have him trained as well. Our dog Pistol Pete has been so great since we went through the training. He gets so excited every time Ms. Jan comes over to the house and now since the training is complete, knowing that we can contact her anytime, if we ever need anything or have any questions or concerns. She is wonderful and so helpful. We also take Pistol Pete over to spend time boarding with Ms. Jan for a few days to a week when we are out of town. We are very happy knowing he is being taken care of when we can't be home with him. She has the most clean environment for your pets and they all have a great space to run around and meet new friends. Every dog we saw there were so happy and comfortable in their own kennel. That made me happy knowing when we leave our dog there, he is kept comfortable, happy and spoiled in his air conditioned area and it was always clean!!! And it does not smell like a kennel in there and that really made me happy! If you are thinking about getting your pet trained, you could not pick a better person, or company to do this. We did our homework before choosing her. We contacted several other places in our area but was not happy with any of them and then Ms. Jan was recommended to us by our Vet's office. She came highly recommended and we are so glad we have her taking care of our dog. She is like family to us now and couldn't be happier with the professionalism and services she provides to her clients. So if you are in need of a wonderful, caring and loving person to take care of your pets or need them trained, you really need to check out Janet Echavarry from A Better Dog Training, Inc. You will be very satisfied that you did.

Derek is extremely professional and is great with animals. He has been walking my dog for several weeks now and I couldn't be happier with the level of service provided. I have recommended Bones and Leashes Pet Service to friends in the area.

    About

We walk dogs, because all dogs need to walk for exercise. We know that some people are just too busy to do it, so we will walk your dog daily to make sure it gets the nutrients it needs.

    About

I believe my work stands out because of the quality in it by treating and caring for the animals as if they are my own. I like most the outdoors, and the exercise that is included.

    About

I walk and feed your dogs, and interact with them. I play and take very good care of them like if they were my very own. For small dogs, I charge $5.00 an hour and for big dogs, I charge $10.00 an hour. If interested, contact me. My name is Cesar.

    About

I'll walk the animals in naturalistic places, like the disc golf course, Eisenhower trails, and common neighborhoods. I love to give treats and even dance or sit for them. Positive praise gets you farther than barking commands. I'm very squishy and huggable, and I let my dog and other animals sit on my lap for some special petting attention. If they need a bath, I can facilitate it. Also, I have plenty of squishy places for them to sit and rest and a backyard for them to bark and run around.

    About

I am an experienced house sitter, dog sitter, cleaner, landscaper, and general contractor. I am prompt and thorough, and I take pride in my work. I am a people person and work well with direct instruction. Getting the job done exactly to the customer's satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me.

    About

I do dog sitting and walking, yard cleaning, house-sitting and general cleaning. I also do gutter clean out and a little painting. I am just starting out, so I am open to other work that my customer may need done.

    About

I love animals, and I know the owners are very busy with work and travel. I would be a great friend and will keep the dogs very busy. I would be playing and giving them a lot of attention.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a dog walker do?

We all know our dogs love going on long, adventure-filled walks, but jobs and family and commuting can make it difficult to give them the leash time they deserve. You can hire a professional dog walker to make sure your furry friend gets adequate exercise and outdoor time each day. A professional dog walker may be an individual contractor or work for a dedicated dog-walking company. In either case, you want to make sure the pro has the appropriate insurance in case of an emergency. Some people opt to give the dog walker a key to their house; others to have them pick up the dog from the yard. Dog walking can happen as often as multiple times per day, or just a few times a month as needed. Here are some questions to ask when you are interviewing a new dog walker:

    • Will you or someone else be walking my dog?
    • Do you have a backup plan if you can’t make it for a scheduled walk?
    • Will you walk my dog by itself, or do you walk several dogs at once?
    • What are your different walk routes?
    • When will you pick up and drop off?
    • How will we communicate?
    • Do I have to commit to a schedule or are you flexible?
    • What’s your cancellation policy?
    • What’s your response plan if my dog gets injured or becomes sick?
    • How and how often do I pay you?
    • Do you offer package pricing if I buy multiple dog walks up front?

How much do dog walkers charge?

The cost of dog walking depends on several factors including length and frequency of dog walks, the number of dogs on the walk, distance to your house, and any additional services you request. The national average cost range for a dog walk is $10-$20, but that price will vary based on where you live in the country and the regional cost of living and doing business.

The longer the dog walk, the higher your costs will be. Dog walkers offer a range of walk lengths, from 15-minute potty breaks to long hikes of 120 minutes or more. For example, a dog walker may charge $15 for a 15-minute walk and $35 for a 35-minute walk. Requesting that your dog be the only animal on the walk will typically mean a higher cost than if you permit your dog to be walked in a pack of dogs. You may be able to get a discounted rate if you have more than one dog to be walked. For example, a professional dog walker may charge $28 for one dog or $33 for two dogs on a 60-minute walk. If you need additional help — like feeding the dogs or giving them medication — dog walkers may be able to provide this service at an additional fee. Dog walkers may charge higher rates for walking your dogs on holidays.
