I recently worked with Eddie from Mr. Watts / Problem Solvers, and while I’m giving 5 stars for the service, there were some mixed feelings. First off, Eddie was great – professional, thorough, and clearly had my best interest in mind. He explained everything in detail and didn’t push unnecessary costs, even advising against things like their 1- or 2-year VIP/Warranty plans, which I appreciated. However, the $4,000 quote for 11 light switches, installing LED lighting (which I provided myself), and replacing two bathroom ceiling vents was quite a shock. To give some context, I ended up getting the same work done for $200 professionally and found exact replacements for the vents on Amazon for $100. If you’re looking to blow some cash or just want to get a sense of what something might cost (or if you want a quote to show another contractor), it’s worth having them out for a chat. Eddie is a standout and does fantastic work for the company, but let’s be real – in this economy, I’m not made of money!
