Charged my 83 year old dad $240 to change a toilet tank fill valve which I normally change for him in less than 15 minutes. My dad asked him about the cost since he is on social security and this man side stepped the question. Once he did the work, he now started talking about his hourly rate like he is a certified anything. He charged more than certified plumbers do. I don't mind paying when someone is transparent about their cost. I just didn't appreciate his style and do not recommend him. I noticed some others have mentioned something similar in their reviews. Update: First, it wasn't an emergency situation, they managed the leak by turning off the toilet's shut-off valve. Secondly, you misdiagnosed the problem, their toilet tank is cracked which was the source of the water that was seen at the entrance. You took advantage of them. It took me less than 10 minutes to change the fill valve in their master bathroom a few weeks ago. Shame on you for coming on here to try to justify your actions. I stand by my review. If I could give you no stars, I would have done that.
