FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to set up a free introduction, it allows us time to meet and see if we are a good match, scheduling, expectations, and goals. If we're not a good match, I want us both to know so that you can find the right teacher and begin your musical journey!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to study with an instructor who is dedicated and skilled. Currently, I am also studying composition, theory and performance at the University of the Incarnate Word. I was awarded the highest scholarship offered for Piano Performance at UTSA, as well as UIW. While I had only been playing piano at that time for approximately 3 years, I was competing against others who had been learning piano and taking lessons most of their life. Fortunately, I had an amazing teacher who knew how to draw the passion out of her students.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to do what I love to do. I can't say I planned on doing this when I was young, but I can say that the hard work I put in to opening a studio and acquire students is quite gratifying. I was mostly inspired to teach, from the teachers I was fortunate to have.
