We love H&M Arabians! Ms. Kate is amazing! My 11 year old daughter has been taking lessons with her for the last 4 years! She always goes above and beyond when teaching and sharing her love of horses! She’s passionate, loving, and patient!! Wouldn’t go anywhere else - she’s become our family!!!
1st time rider, had a great time. Really nice horse, Gabe. Trainer Elizabeth was very patient and understanding. I felt very comfortable during the lesson, will be going back for more.
I have been taking lessons at Sterling Hunter Jumpers Stable for over a year. I have loved every minute of it and have grown so much in my riding ability during this short period of time. My 8 year old daughter has also taken lessons and attended their summer camp. She loves going to Sterling! As a parent, I 100% trust that my daughter is in good hands. The owners, Erin and Johnny, are extremely knowledgeable and always have each rider's safety and best interest in mind. Sterling has riders of all levels and Erin works diligently to train each rider based upon their individual skill level. She truly cares about her students and goes above and beyond for them. Erin and Johnny take amazing care of all animals on the property. This level of care is exemplified by the top quality of the horses that are used for lessons. They are not typical "lesson horses". Sterling horses are well trained, safe and teach their riders how to be better equestrians. There are different horses for all riding levels. Erin works with each rider to pair them with the perfect horse for their abilities. Sterling has a very friendly and welcoming environment that makes coming to the barn a nice escape from the daily grind. I could go on and on listing many more reasons why Sterling is a great place to ride. But in a nutshell, if you're looking for a well run barn with knowledable trainers that keep safety and progression of equestrian skills as their top priority, this is the place for you!!
Danielle met with my daughter and I for horseback riding lessons and was a pleasure to be with. She was professional, communicative, and kept the safety of my daughter and I at the forefront of every lesson. She is focused on the experience one has on the horse and is very patient with her students. My daughter and I had a wonderful time and I am grateful for the bonding we shared during our rides with Danielle.
My oldest daughter has been taking lessons at Creekwood for 3 years now, and I couldn't be happier. She was so timid when she started, and Laurel (owner and head trainer) has known just when to push Anna and when to let her take her time. She's so much more confident now, not just in her riding ability. The atmosphere at the barn is really relaxed and laid back. You can tell that the happiness and health of both the horses and the girls who ride there are Laurel's #1 priority. There's zero snobbery and there's a great camaraderie: the girls aren't overly competitive toward each other. This summer, my younger daughter stated taking lessons with Abbey, who offers private lessons to all beginners until they've acquired the skills to join one of Laurel's group lessons. It's fantastic to have one-on-one attention with your horse while you're just starting out. Creekwood's lesson and lease prices are extremely reasonable as well. I wouldn't have my daughters ride anywhere else.
I personally have worked alongside and taken lessons from Ashlyn and I have loved both immensely. Growing up I thought I knew a lot about horses due to family owning them and going to horseback camp as a child but in the 3 months I spent with Ashlyn I learned so much more than I ever thought possible. I am a huge fan of Ashlyn's teaching style and her demeanor towards the horses. She is always kind but assertive so that the rider and the horse feels comfortable as opposed to being unnecessarily aggressive towards them. When Ashlyn give you direction she explains it in a way that is easy to understand and not at all demeaning. She is very aware of everyones energy within lessons and is able to make sure all involved feel comfortable and confident. She allows you to decide how to handle challenges with moderate intervention in order to grow your horsemanship and your bond to the horse you are riding yet always stays close by to keep you comfortable in the case that you feel the situation is out of your level of expertise. Ashlyn's lessons offer a wide variety of skills and training and a better understanding of what it means to have good horsemanship. She is also full of very interesting information she is always willing to share that keeps you learning after years of riding experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Ashlyn's lessons to individuals of all skill levels. She truly makes it an enjoyable experience you cannot wait to get back to.
Erin is an incredible trainer. She always keeps the horses' best interest at heart. Because of Erin, my young mare has truly blossoned. She began as a skittish, spooky, underweight horse with poor ground manners. Under Erin's care, training, and instruction, she has become a healthy, well muscled calm, responsive horse. Additionally, Erin is a great instructor. Her patience amazes me. She explains concepts many different ways until they actually click for her students. My children and I all have very different personalities and learning styles, but we all enjoy our lessons with Erin. We are blessed to work with her!
The facility is very clean. We care for everyone's horse as if they were our own. Family atmosphere and outstanding customer service
I love sharing my passion for horses with people. And teaching people how to ride and helping them learn about horses...
I give horseback lessons to all ages! I can work with you and your horse, or you can take lessons on my lesson horses. I believe that horses can provide focus and emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. I like to have fun and teach people how to build a trusting relationship from the ground up.
