FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I saw drummers on TV and heard many records and saw many bands and groups when I was a young kid and as I grew older. I knew being a drummer was my destiny. And, my mother was classroom teacher for 43 years. So, I got the teaching bug from her, honestly! now, I've been teaching drum set for over 24 years and piano for 7 years.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A friend of mine and I have formed a pretty great little soul, jazz and r&b (gospel) group that may hit the Dallas House Of Blues' stage very soon. From there, we "may" get to tour a number of H.O.B. clubs around the country in this next quarter of year and into next year also.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

We music instructors love for our students to practice as much as possible, but not to go overboard and push too hard! Give it all you've got, but pace yourself as you get used to your particular instrument. Especially, in the area of practicing. Take your time learning your craft. Don't burn yourself out. You'll enjoy your practice more, if you don't push too hard at the earliest learning stages. Relax, if that instrument is truly meant for you, you will learn how to play it. Enjoy the journey! Just don't give up.
