Serena has been great to work with! She's energetic and keeps things fun, which is great when you're learning a new dance.
I took a dance class with my son where we met Andi. He was our dance teacher who was friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable. He has good people skills and created a comraderie between his students. We all seemed excited about returning to class each week. Andi was always punctual, actually early for each class, showed general enthusiasm when greeting each of his students. He seemed to value us as we did him and I not only speak for when I say I would definitely sign up for additional classes for myself and son but I truly believe our classmates will agree. The value of this dance class is immeasurable. I still do not dance well, admittedly, but I am much better in social circles. I can thank Andi Ahmad for that. Best of luck to you always Andi. If I ever meet a person who would like to take dance lessons, you will be highly recommended.
I love going to my dance lesson. He has been so patient, fun, and encouraging. I definetly recommend him as an instructor. Excellent job!!!!
Courtney was my ballroom teacher for 2 years and I could not have asked for a better teacher! She taught me so much and always made lessons fun!
We have had 2 lessons with Mendy. It is so much fun to work with her. She breaks it down so the steps are easy to understand. I have been trying to get my husband to take dance lessons for years, but he believed he would never be able to dance. After lessons with Mendy, he not only looks forward to our next lesson, but he wants to learn more. Maybe you can teach 2 old dogs new tricks.
Did a lesson with my girlfriend and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Julie was fantastic at explaining things and also showing us where the lessons were heading. It kept us focused, engaged and enthusiastic. She's a really great teacher and we will be taking more lessons with her in the future! Whether you're serious about becoming a better dancer, learning to dance from scratch or just want a different kind of date night, you wont be disappointed.
I hired them to develop a routine for our girls who wanted to perform at their school's talent show. In one week, they were able to train a bunch of 7 year old girls an awesome routine. they were awesome! the girls really enjoyed the practices and the dancing.
I explain the medical/clinical implications of why and how you improve your body with motion. If class is motivated, I explain the muscle groups and what happens to you when you improve your fitness through yoga or dance.
I teach dance to all ages and in many different styles. Some instruction is focused on dancers working to join high school dance teams, sometimes it is simply for the pleasure of learning something new and having fun exploring dance. I also do personal training and a beginning yoga class to incorporate fitness, breathe and stretch into my clients' lives.

Amber Lotus Dance & Fitness Studio is an ATS/GSI and tribal fusion belly dance based group that enjoys celebrating the delight of dance, the communication and synergy of Improv and the sisterhood of Tribal Style Bellydance. We teach and encourage women of all ages, shapes, sizes and backgrounds the tribal belly dance form as a creation of skill, beauty, collaboration, improvisation, feminine strength and sisterhood. Our movements are spun from a language of the body as first originated by Carolena Nericcio of Fat Chance Belly Dance, shaken up with some GSI and vintage belly dance and then kissed with our own Amber Lotus twist led by our artistic director, Valori Jenne. Valori has 30 years of performance experience between musical theater and belly dance. She currently holds certifications for Suhaila level 1, ATS' classic and ATS' modern. Every Amber Lotus performance is a unique tribal belly dance experience in itself with swirling skirts, ornate costumes and shimmying hips. Our dances are sometimes spellbinding, jovial and always improvised. We dance to music from around the world, both traditional and modern club style. Our performances include the use of finger cymbals, swords, veils and candles. * American Tribal Style, (ATS) belly dance is a group of dancers with tribal style belly dance traits composing choreography on the spot(i.e. improvising) through previously arranged cued moves. * Group Synchronized Improvisation, (GSI) Tribal belly dance ,refers to a structured and codified repertoire of movements, each with their own distinct cue, performed in a lead and follow format. This is combination-based form of Improvisational Tribal Fusion dance that has evolved away from American Tribal Style, (ATS). It relies on a shared vocabulary of movements, each initiated by a distinct cue movement. The leader initiates the cue movement, then a short, choreographed combination, or Combo, is performed
I prefer to view a dance space much like an artist's canvas, where objects within a dance space can be utilized; like an artist would manipulate different mediums in creating a work of art. Where most dance instructors prefer to make regular use of a studio setting alone, I prefer to make use of a myriad of dance spaces which allows for more creative flexibility and experimentation.
