Michael did a beautiful job painting the interior of our home and adding rain gutters. He was very responsive and always positive, even to last minute requests. He kept me updated on the status of the project and made helpful suggestions along the way. He worked long hours to get the job done and took care to clean up any materials or mess each day. We love the way the paint job changed the look of our home!

My Experience with JUST ORGANIZED By Taya Home staging is the act of getting ready a private residence for sale in the real estate marketplace. The goal of home staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, thereby selling a property more fleetly and for more money. Staging techniques focus on improving a property's appeal by transforming it into a welcoming, attractive state of the Art product that anyone might want. The concept of home staging is well understood by Taya and I am more than happy to write this lengthy review about my wonderful experience with Just Organized By Taya. Just Organized By Taya is a home staging service provider owned by Taya. , it is based in Houston close to my abode. The company is well equipped with Experienced Real Estate Agents. Over the years, their input in positively influencing potential buyer’s decision and putting smile on people’s face cannot be over-emphasized. My perception of someone arranging my home for me before was highly disdainful, I don’t believe in someone taking care of my home for me. I was about getting a vacant house, a house left desolated somewhere around the city till my friend Steve (am proud to mention his name as many times, he is indeed a friend) told me that I can actually get a well-staged home that will be cost effective. By that I don’t need to get anything fixed, all is needed is to pay the normal price the company is offering it. I can still remember vividly what I said to my friend. I said Steve “are you very sure of this?”. Steve said to me, “there is no harm in trying, we have been friends from our childhood days, common Max, you know me better. Highly convinced by his words, we drove all the way that same day to Just Organised By Taya and today am glad I did listened to him. Ever since I employed the services of Just Organized By Taya, I have had no cause for regrets. Just Organized By Taya went the extra mile to give me and my family a beautiful place of abode, a home I so much dreamed of. Recently I visited their site, I could not count the review of many clients whose life they have positively affected through their provision of well-organized and customized staging solutions tailored to each home. So I was moved to write my review. Their Staging options include design and decorating by highly skilled staging professionals, whole house staging or partial home stagings as well. For your dream home, I highly recommend Just Organized By Taya. They provide well organized and customized staging solutions tailored toward given you your dream home. For me, a home is my largest purchase and biggest asset. Walking through an empty house can be uninspiring and overwhelming to buyers like me. Just Organized By Taya brought me the imagination and insight I needed to get my kind of excitement about a property. NOTE: Am not advertising them though, but I do believe that when you see something that is best, you should share your testimony so others can partake in it. Just Organized By Taya is the best staging company. Max

I was a home specialist in two of Teresa's homes. The first home was in the Champions area and had been on the Market for sometime with little or no showings. The home was staged just before Christmas a Holidays and was beautiful. The first showing of the home sold it! I then moved to a second home in The Memorial area and before Teresa could finish the staging process it to sold!! Teresa has a unique and Beautiful touch to her home staging...She is the Best in the Houston Area.

Brittany was very professional and personable. She reached out to me constantly before our first meet up to have an idea of what I was looking for in my home. Her main goals were making sure that I was happy with the layout and interior service she provided my husband and me. House of Brittany provided me with a five star service. She bounced ideas off of me and my husband and always came back with designs that pleased and surprised us. She has a great eye and sense of decorum! My home has all the comforts and statements I want it to have due to her keen eye for spacing and style. I would recommend her to anyone looking to stage their home for the buyers market or for home owners beginning to decorate or revamp their home!

Dawn and her team were amazing to work with. They deserve every star they have earned from my husband and I. Dawn and her team made sure that they got us a more than fair deal on a house we love and were like a family that were always there to look out for us. As first time home-buyers they made the process understandable and enjoyable.

"Wow! Thank You, Thank You! We are impressed with the results of the staging and excited about getting our house on the market. We love all of the changes and don’t feel a need to make any adjustments at all. Many of the changes we would not have thought of or even tried, especially the living room which is fantastic. It’s a much better use of the space and makes the area feel bigger as well as now provides a full view through the windows in the back. From the placement of the furniture in all the rooms to each of the smallest accessories the presentation of our home has been significantly enhanced and greatly improves its “showability”. We found ourselves walking through and being drawn to the overall appearance of each room and easily overlooking improvements we know we still need to make. We have bought and sold many homes (five) and understand the concept of staging, which we have done ourselves in the past. However the results we see are way above and beyond anything, we could have accomplished. Our sincerest thanks and appreciation!"

Hiring Dena to help us unpack our home was the best decision we made. It would have taken us weeks (if not months) to do on our own, but it took only two days with her help. She is extremely knowledgeable about staging homes and used her aesthetic to help us make quick decisions on where to place our things. She came prepared with a ladder and tool box, which ended up coming in handy when she helped us hang artwork and assemble our wall mounted tv. We'll hire Dena again if we ever need.

Pam Grace Home Decor & Staging did such a great job on my remodel- I recommend Pam Val highly! I needed some things in my home fixed up before staging to sell; her prices were lower than I've found, communication top-notch, and quality I am proud of. I will use Pam again for all my home renovation and staging needs.

Carrie is great at helping you work with the items in your home, e.g., arranging the art you already own, helping hang items so that they work with the other objects in the room, suggesting size and color ideas for a space you want to fill, etc. Carrie is easy to work with, very professional, and understands working within budget constraints. Carrie is great at bouncing ideas off of and trying to finish that one project room you want to get done!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does it mean to stage a home?

Home staging is the real estate strategy of decorating your home to be as marketable as possible to your target demographic. Home staging is done by interior decorators and other design pros hired by the homeowner or realtor, prior to putting a house on the market. Think of it as setting the stage for potential buyers to fall more easily in love with their future homes — and to spend top dollar to get them. It’s likely to be worth the investment: The Real Estate Staging Association reports that staged homes spend 90 percent less time on the market than those that are not staged. Home stagers can also be hired even if you’re not going anywhere. Stagers can consult on new layouts for your current home, much like an interior decorator.

Home staging can take place while you still occupy the house you plan to sell, or when the home is vacant. For an occupied home, the home stager will clear out clutter, rearrange furniture, and bring in decor and furniture as needed to create the perfect environment. Usually an occupied home has far too much of the current owner’s personality stamped on it, which makes it hard for prospective buyers to envision themselves living there. A home stager should neutralize and beautify the space. In vacant homes, a home stager will bring in furniture and decor so that potential buyers don’t walk into an empty house, which can be equally hard to imagine living in as a cluttered, occupied home.

How much does it cost to stage a home for sale?

Nationally, the price for home staging ranges between $750 and $1,500. The price varies based on how many rooms in the house need staging, whether furniture and decor are needed or the stager can work with the client’s belongings, whether the home is occupied or vacant, and the sale price of the home. Occupied homes typically cost less to stage as they are already furnished, and can require less time and resources than staging an empty house. The main tasks when staging an occupied home are rearranging and decluttering. Staging an empty house can be more expensive as furniture and decor need to be trucked in, requiring transportation, physical labor and potential rental fees. Here are some examples of average home staging costs:

    • 2-hour consultation: $200, includes DIY tips and guidance.
    • 1- to 2-hour consultation and design session: $250, including written report.
      • Additional design consulting: $65 per hour.
    • 8 hours of staging an occupied home: $800.
      • Hands-on staging involving moving furniture, hanging and moving art, and decluttering.
    • Starting price for staging a vacant home could be $2,200.
    • A home stager may charge 1 percent of the home’s selling price.
