Mr. Kirby built a deck for my tiny home. Even though it was the busy holidays, he was very prompt in all aspects...from the bidding to the completion. The quality of his work was A+. Highly recommend him.

Murphy did an absolute amazing design job for us. My husband and I had designed and constructed a new craftsman home. Murphy took our ideas, brought her ideas and blended all of our thoughts into beautiful home interior design that represents my husband and I. We have eclectic taste and she helped us present that in a thoughtful elegant style. Plus, she managed a ton of the leg work, shopping & errands that are required for finishing the design. We couldn't be happier!

Suzanna helped us with designing our new kitchen in our home. It was so easy to work with her since she naturally has an amazing eye for design and space. After discussing our needs, she put all our ideas and input into plans that were both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Fabulous and talented designer. I can always trust her color sense, unique ideas and suggestions. I will always consult her when designing or choosing new elements for our home.

Ashley and Kristina were amazing to work with from start to finish. They knew exactly what they wanted and gave plenty of lead time to get the job completed. To top it off, they were extremely professional yet very personable and friendly. The project that we collaborated on was a massive home that they designed from top to bottom and it looked like it came straight out of a luxury home magazine. State of Grace Home does amazing work and I would love to collaborate with them any time!

I am a professional photographer who works with many stagers in the Austin area and I have to say Luxury Lane Staging's style, inventory and detail are top notch. The colors flow from room to room, and each room seems to tell a story. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a professional team to stage their home.

I truly enjoyed working with Toni. After spending just a few hours in my home, she was able to rearrange the furniture we had to create a fresh and inviting home; she even created a bonus conversation area. The realtors loved it and we sold our home in less than a month.

When I was first introduced to Montana I could tell she wasn’t an average designer. She was passionate about quality over quantity, pieces that would last years instead of just a few months. She was keen on sourcing locally and not from a box store. I needed someone who was up for a challenge and who wouldn’t follow the latest so called trend. She delivered. Walking me through the process in the at home consultation, gives regular updates and 3D perspective. I was especially impressed. My home is functional, beautifully created and uniquely me. If you are looking for someone who goes above and beyond for her clients, not just in design but in education of the pieces and process than you have found the right designer. I will continue to recommend her to all my family and friends. Thank you Montana for giving me a space that I truly love.

I needed a roof repair after a storm hit and damaged the roof on both my homes here in Kyle. Bobby responded immediately, came and diagnosed the problem, went out of his way to go and buy the shingles and carefully matched the tiles for both my homes. He broght his crew and they repaired the two homes in short order, very clean and courteous-- and cleaned and hauled away all the old tiles--even picked up the ones that had blown around the yard for me. He was priced very low but did a super job for me. I would recomment Mr. Diaz for any job, type and big or small job he takes great pride in his work! Wonderful workmanship. He completed the work in a timely manner.

Kaeleen was a gem to work with! She was able to incorporate all of mine and my boyfriends ideas into exactly what we wanted. She was also extremely patient; I constantly found new things I liked from everyones favorite idea site.... Pinterest and she tackled everything I threw at her. Thanks for making our new condo a place where we can call home and have all of our friends over to entertain!

It not easy to find someone that has both the critical thinking & implementation skills necessary to manage & complete projects. We interviewed several candidates and gave up until we found Suzann (Stover). Suzann has strong interpersonal skills on top of strong project management skills which allow her to seamlessly collaborate & communicate with us and vendors. She has completed a variety of projects for us as she continually gets the jobs done and does them with a commitment to quality. We own a large corporation, have a private foundation, have a lot of family commitments as well as trying to take care of ourselves. Our plates are full. Stover Solutions has given us the gift of time & needed "rest stops" to allow us to focus on other important things since we know our projects are in great hands. We feel so fortunate to have retained Stover Solutions for our current & future needs.

      About

Whether you are a home owner, banker, investor, developer, or realtor, we have the services and resources you need to make your home stand out from the crowd! Choose any of our three services: Resident Home Management: There is no upfront cost for using our service. Your only cost for our services is $1,200 at closing, and if your property doesn't sell in a year, our service is free! Our program is different than typical home staging because it provides a true human touch -- responsible adults living in and maintaining your home, always keeping your home in "show-ready" condition. Our resident home managers go through extensive background, credit, and reference checks, and our company is insured, so you can be assured your property will be safe and secure. Traditional Staging: Starting at just $0.75/sq. ft., according to Realty Times, properties that are staged sell for 10 to 15% more than comparable properties that have not been staged. Staging will result quicker sale, higher selling price, lower carrying costs, and a better image of your home to potential buyers. "Show-Ready Inspection and Care Services": Starting at just $1.25*/day, Empty Home Solutions provides vacant property inspection and care. Our vacant property management program is designed to help agents and home owners by managing their vacant listings while leaving them unoccupied. The listing agent does not have the time it takes to make sure your home is always "show-ready". Marketing, negotiating, and selling the house is what they do best; not property management! So, this is where our program comes in! Empty Home Solutions will ensure that your home stands out from the crowd. We are confident that our services will result in a: - Quicker sale - Higher selling price - Lower carrying costs - Better image of your home to potential buyers than that of your competition!

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

      What do interior designers do?

Interior designers do much more than pick complementary paint colors and choose matching furniture — although those tasks are important parts of the job. Unlike decorators, interior designers usually have an associate of science degree or certificate of achievement in interior design from an accredited program. They’re trained in drafting, lighting and computer aided design (CAD), and are experts in room-specific design and residential space planning. Interior designers use these skills to plan and design safe, highly functional and beautiful interior spaces, from kitchens and bathrooms to family rooms and bedrooms. They determine space requirements, work within building codes and inspection regulations, and meet accessibility standards. An interior designer’s day-to-day job includes creative and technical tasks, both of which often require great communication skills:

      • Creating model rooms and visuals using design software.
      • Researching different textiles, materials, finishes, lighting and furniture.
      • Hiring suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
      • Estimating costs and making bids on potential jobs.

How do you choose an interior designer?

Choosing an interior designer is all about finding one whose signature style fits well with your tastes and who can work within your budget. To choose the right professional for your interior design project, ask yourself these five questions:

      • What is your signature style? Good interior designers can both describe their personal aesthetic and demonstrate their signature style through their portfolios. Make sure it appeals to you.
      • How will you make sure the design fits my lifestyle? Good designers understand that the interior design must improve a homeowner’s experience in their home and fit into their lifestyle; for example, a white suede sofa is a poor choice for a family with large dogs and small children.
      • How much do you charge? Depending on the project, an interior designer may charge an hourly rate, a flat fee or a percentage of the project’s total cost.
      • How will you stick to my budget? An interior designer should have a plan for staying within your budget, which includes full transparency of costs and flexibility when choosing materials and furnishings.

Because an interior design project is highly collaborative and based on hard-to-define personal preferences, it’s most important to choose a designer who communicates clearly and listens closely to you.

How much do interior designers charge?

You can hire an interior design for a job as basic as a one-room consultation or as complex as supervising the design of an entire new home, helping with space planning, choosing color palettes, and shopping for furniture, flooring and artwork. The size and scope of the job will determine how much an interior designer charges; the average national cost for an interior designer ranges from $75 to $100 or more per hour. Other cost factors include the person’s reputation — interior designers to the stars are usually more expensive — and region. Most interior designers charge an average of $100-$225 for an initial consultation, but some will charge an hourly rate, usually starting at an average of $50, for larger projects that require extensive consultations. Hourly rates may be available for smaller projects, such as redecorating a living room or staging a home for sale; for instance, shopping and consulting can cost an average of $75 to $100 per hour, while staging costs and average $95 per hour. For many homeowners, a percentage of an interior designer’s cost is recouped through the professional discounts they receive from their vendors.

How do you find a good interior designer?

For many homeowners, the difference between a good interior designer and a bad one is simply a matter of taste — but all good designers have similar skill sets. Interior designers usually have a degree or certificate in interior design, with training in design principles and lighting, drafting, and computer aided design (CAD) software. Good interior designers have strong color balancing skills and understand how different colors influence spatial perception and moods. They know the building and electrical codes in the areas where they practice, and they make sure that any contractors they hire also work to those codes. They are knowledgeable about different upholstery fabrics and draperies, stay ahead of residential design trends, and maintain their own individual creativity. Also, good interior designers have excellent space designing skills, so they can arrange a space efficiently and with ideal traffic flow. Ultimately, hiring a good interior designer means pinpointing one whose signature style is complementary to your personal style — so checking out many designers’ portfolios is a must — and whose communication methods match yours.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
