- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always do an initial free consultation which takes anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. The potential client can get all of their questions answered and I can meet their pet(s) and see how the pets respond to me as well as get an idea of the pet's routine. At this consultation I give the client a copy of my insurance certificate as well as a list of references and their contact information.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
About 12 years ago I started working for a great friend who has a thriving and very professional pet sitting business in Salt Lake. With her mentoring I learned the ins and outs of the industry and a lot about the animals I care for. I was able to eventually start my own business which has thrived for the past 9 years.
