Jose is very talented, and very well versed as a musician. He's a very patient and flexible instructor, and tailored my lessons to my specific needs. He has an extensive musical knowledge and varied repertoire. My singing ability made a definite and noticeable improvement from taking lessons from him. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to improve their vocal skills.
Ben has been teaching my son and daughter for the past year and It has been a great experience. They are processing in their skills. I have a limited musical background and each week my children can complete their practice time with what was taught during their lessons. I also have a very busy schedule and Ben is awesome with communicating any changes (which has been very limited) and upcoming events. I would highly recommend Ben has a teacher!
Brian is a wonderful teacher. I have never been one to sing in front of people, but in the handful of lessons I have already attended, I can hear a huge difference in my voice and notice my confidence is getting stronger. You can't go wrong with Unfurled Music!
My two grandchildren (ages 10 and 8) are taking beginner piano lessons from Stephanie. She is patient and kind and very good at helping them understand the basics. She has made the lessons very fun. She is a great motivator, and an excellent piano teacher with a lot of experience. This has been a very rewarding experience for all of us.
Out of all of the voice teachers I've ever had, Courtney Bergen is my very favorite. Learning to sing WELL can be very difficult. Courtney takes the difficulty out of singing and makes it FUN again. Courtney is a very talented singer in her own right. She was a full scholarship recipient and graduate in Vocal Performance from the prestigious University of Utah Music Program and she's currently contracted with the Utah Symphony Chorus and Symphony. Courtney requires me to keep a notebook/journal where she documents things she wants me to work on each month. Many times, she even records my lessons and sends me home with a recording. This is VERY VALUABLE as I'm able to re-listen to my lessons every day (It's like getting 7 lessons for the price of one too!) Courtney's rates are among the most affordable in Utah as well. More important than her rates though, is her ability to get results. Since I've been training with her, I've improved exponentially in just a few short months. Furthermore, it's not just me who is improving. Sometimes when I arrive early to a lesson, I have the privilege of listening to another one of her voice students sing. From week to week, I can tell that these students are improving in leaps and bounds as well. Simply put, if you want to be trained by a professional, if you want great results, and if you want to have fun while doing it, there's simply not a better voice coach in the industry!
My daughter has been attending lessons at Onchord Academy for about 5 months. She has been playing for over two years and she has taken lessons from several instructors who provide group or individual lessons and the quality of teaching at Onchord Academy is beyond any other learning experience. They have instructors who teach everything from beginning guitar to advanced musical theory and since working with her instructor, Jordan, she has even started writing her own music. The value for the money, the expertise of the instructors and the rapport they have with their students is remarkable. These classes have helped my daughter advance musically beyond what I ever expected and it has also helped her overall confidence and self esteem. Jordan prepares a personalized lesson each week designed to teach her new skills and advance her level of playing. Every lesson is completely tailored to her and incorporates her interests and musical tastes. I feel that this is what really sets Onchord Academy apart. It has changed her interest in music into a passion for practicing and learning new skills and she is already using these skills to perform and share her talents.

I customize lessons to each student because all voices are different. Having this mind set allows me to give the student a piece that fits their specific vocal type while still focusing on the challenge of the music and the growth of the voice.

We offer private voice lessons. Our goal is to train voices to sing in a free and natural manner and smoothly, from the bottom of the range to the top with no breaks or sudden changes in quality. Training in this technique gives the singer access to all dynamics, with tonal clarity and flexibility. Also, training in this technique helps improve a singer's range, endurance, stamina, breath control, resonance, vocal strength and vocal quality across all styles of music without fatigue or damage to the voice.
Craig A. has been performing as a musician, vocalist, and actor for the past 40 years. His vocal training came from Dan Truhitte who played Rolfe in the Original Sound of Music Motion Picture. Craig Also studied theater and vocal technique at Sacramento State University California. Craig performed professionally throughout the western states including the Hiltons, Sheratons, Holiday Inns and Harrah’s Hotels. Craig has also worked as a sound designer and sound technician at many live theaters throughout California and Utah. “My goal in teaching is to help students reach their fullest potential as singers and to build their confidence in the process. I feel it's important to get out of the lessons what you want, so I don't have a set curriculum. I tailor each lesson to the student. Lessons focus on each student as an individual and can include anything from vocal technique and song choice, to audition coaching and recording sessions for ear training.”
