I had two bathroom light fixtures installed in my bathrooms ...We negotiated a price of $30.00 instead of $50.00 from the original quote. The Bait and Switch occurred when the "handyman" said the light fixtures needed a longer screws...so the "handyman said he would purchase the (special 2 long screws) and return the next evening for installation. The light fixtures were installed in the bathrooms and I was told that the installation charges would be $100.00 for his service rendered. I didn't receive any receipts for screws purchased nor the installation. To my surprise.. I found a washer on the bathroom rug in my master bathroom that should've been installed (it requires 2 washer for the installation). Now I've to say a "Hell Mary" prayer when I'm near the light fixture...there's a real possibly that the light fixture might fall down and hurt someone. So consumers especially women be advised...always have another person in your home when you're having work done in your home. Definitely, receive a second opinion like from Lowe Store or Home Depot before hiring a "handyman" so you've a better idea whether the info received is accurate or a bait and switch. I am sure YouTube videos... probably could've walked me through the steps for the installation. No, I won't use this company nor recommend the handy-man services. DCS
Immaculate Maintenance/ Construction and Handym...'s reply
This customer expected me to install cheap second rate fixtures o the wrong light boxes. I explained to her that I could make them work and that it would take more time. No I didn't show her receipts , cause I didn't; charge her for them. This customer was expecting something for nothing as notices from the 1st time I walked into her home. Between slamming the LDS and Utah I barley had timed to get done in the time she wanted. All you contractors out there avoid this one. You will end up getting taken as I did.
