For my first two music lessons, they went great. Even though they were affordable to most people, I couldn't continue because I'm a poor college student. Haha. But I am hoping in the near future that when I can afford the lessons, I'm coming back to Brian!
We planned the lesson, didn't show up, messaged me afterwards saying the class couldn't happen today with no explanation whatsoever.
I have taken piano lessons from Matthew Weissman for about a year and a half. I went back to piano lessons as an adult to improve upon my technique, learn new music, and have something fun to do in my spare time. Since that time my piano playing skills and technique have improved immensely. I have learned more efficient and successful ways to practice and I have learned a wide variety of music. Matthew is knowledgeable, patient, and an incredible pianist. I would recommend him to any student ranging from beginner to advanced.
Not only have I learned a lot of core fundamental theory, technique and training, I have learned that at SLC guitar lessons are ultimately about each individual being able to express themselves to the fullest with the guitar. Would recommend to anyone wanting to better themselves in a musical kind of way.
Greg is awesome! I had my first vocal lesson with him today and I feel that I've already learned a lot. First off, he does not charge much, compared to other vocal instructors, which is great because I am trying to save every cent I can. Secondly, Greg is nice, friendly, and cares about your success. Greg is also funny and outgoing. He will definetly help you come out of your shell if you are a shy singer. Greg has helped me by teaching me helpful vocal warm-ups, correct techinque (posture, breathing, etc.), and by practicing songs to improve my vocal ability. Greg knows what he is doing and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. I had so much fun at our voice lesson today and I can't wait for future voice lessons!
I have only had a few lessons with Diana, but I already love her and feel very comfortable with her. She is very professional and I can already feel an improvement in my voice and the way I approaching singing! We are really working on learning the way to let your voice out the natural way, without forcing it, and it makes a huge difference. I can already see the things I have been doing incorrectly for years. I would recommend Diana, as a vocal teacher to anyone!
Mrs. Neve is an amazing teacher. Her class is, quite literally, the bee's knees. I went to her lessons, in the hopes that I would learn proper breathing exercises and improve my range, in the process. She's not only helped me achieve those goals, but much more, in addition. After 4 lessons, my range has improved, I feel like a stronger singer and most importantly, I feel confident in my vocal abilities. If you're serious about learning and progressing, as a singer, Mrs. Neve is the teacher for you. No doubt about it, she cares about her students and the growth of their singing capabilities. Thanks Mrs. N.
Really positive and makes guitar lessons enjoyable. Cares about you making progress.
I first met Mark through group guitar lessons through Davis Community Schools. I took his first and second group lessons. Since then I have been taking private lessons for almost two years now. Mark is an excellent guitar instructor. He adapts all my lessons to what I want to learn. He is patient, kind and encouraging. His favorite phrase is, "You are better today than you were yesterday!" I use to take lessons out of state for several years and never really learned anything. I never felt motivated to practice. In my two years with Mark, I have always desired to practice regularly and have made far more improvement in this short time than I ever did previously. If you are interested in lessons, or know someone who is, Mark is DEFINITELY your best choice! I have seen him work well with students of all ages. You can't go wrong with lessons from Mark DesLaurier!
Kristin has been great at identifying my own personal learning style. She presents things in a very understandable and approachable way. Her lessons are a lot of fun, and she is very supportive. I would definitely recommend her to people of any skill level, including to people who have never taken voice lessons before, like me!
I’ve been working with Tong for about a month now. I’m an older beginner so she’s very patient with me and makes sure I’m disciplined down to the smallest detail. I would definitely recommend her lessons to anyone wanting to progress quickly and efficiently.
Averi is highly skilled at the piano and I am excited to keep taking lessons from her.
Kevin is a first class musician who knows his trade and craft well, he is patient, encouraging, and methodically presents the lessons so I learn not only how to play guitar but the music theory behind as well. Too bad I had to leave Utah to return home after a few months of contract work otherwise I am sure I will continue to take lessons from this talented young man.
Syd is an awesome all around teacher. She has patience with her students and explains the concepts and technique well!
Was professional, actively listened to the kids goals, worked well with both of them and my son could not stop talking about how excited he was for his piano lesson. Thank you
I like Steve. He has an overall great understanding of the guitar and I really like how he focuses on applying guitar theory. It's a slow and steady progression. Which is what I need.
Laura is amazing at coming up with creative ways of teaching my two very different daughters. Laura excels at individual learning styles and adapts her teaching accordingly. My oldest is a responsible more introvert learner, who has been in Laura's studio for over 9 years. She reads music beautifully and has impressive musicality. She also enjoys playing pop music and can read chord charts. Laura has given her a solid musical foundation. My youngest is at the beginning of her lessons and is a more extrovert/kinetic learner. Again, Laura has adapted her teaching style to fit my daughter's learning style. Recitals are amazing as you hear beginners and accomplished students perform. I highly recommend Laura!
Stacey has done a really good job with piano lessons for my two grandsons. I have been to each lesson and observed what's going on. She gets them excited and makes them feel great that they are learning and progressing they've done great things since they started doing lessons with Stacy. Her rates are very reasonable. She's very professional. She makes them feel great. I highly recommend her
Treyan is amazing! In the past few years, he has taught four of my children and is currently teaching two. He is a one-of-a-kind piano teacher. Before finding Treyan, my kids were just going to piano lessons where they would be assigned sheet music to learn by the next week, and then they would return the next week to pass off the songs with the teacher. Although they did learn to sight read with that method (which is important), I was the one doing all the teaching and the work at home as I helped them learn their songs - yet I was paying the teacher to "pass them off" on their songs and assign them new ones. It didn't make a lot of sense to me. When we started using Treyan as a teacher, a whole new world of music was opened up for my kids, and I was no longer paying a teacher to just pass my kids off on their songs. I am now paying a teacher that actually teaches them. Treyan isn't the traditional piano teacher. He teaches subjects like playing by ear, songwriting and learning how to play a song by just looking at some chords on a sheet. It is incredible how much my children have progressed with music since they started taking from Treyan. Before him, they were just sight reading from Alfred piano books...now they are composing their own songs. I would highly recommend Treyan to anyone who wants to do more than just sight read from an Alfred book. Treyan will help you - or your kids - develop a talent you didn't even know you had. I highly recommend him. You won't be disappointed.
We also have locations in Ogden and Huntsville, as well as Salt Lake or online via Skype. Brian has been coaching singers for over 15 years. He teaches all styles, including pop, country, jazz, Broadway, rock, classical, and more. Brian uses a technique that is based on speech-level singing, the same method used by some of the most famous singers of all time! He helps singers to do specific exercises designed to train the tiny muscles inside the larynx (voice box.) Once strengthened and toned, these muscles will function more efficiently. This will free your voice, allowing you to sing more beautifully, powerfully, and easily without strain. The 'breaks' in your voice will diminish, and your range will increase. Brian can help to repair and heal damaged or injured vocal chords. He can teach anyone to sing! It doesn't matter if you are tone deaf or a professional singer. Brian can help you to improve your voice beyond what you ever thought possible, no matter what your vocal skill level is. Brian also teaches style and performance, helps singers with artist development, and can help you to gain more confidence.
Nic is excellent to work with and really knows his stuff. You can tell he is really passionate about music.
