Dear Cherri, I am very sorry to hear about your damage to your items. Unfortunately, this can happen when you use ABF trailers and drivers for moving. Many times when it is a shared trailer the wall can come down between clients and cause damage. I ofter recommend other companies to our clients for this reason. Also, whoever unloaded the trailer could have also caused damage to your items, in cases like this is it really hard to see what happened. I personally came by several times during your packing job and can say that our guys did a great job of packing. Also, I believe you were offered blankets to purchase but declined. I would still be more than happy to discuss your experience with you and see what we can do. Again, I understand it is no fun to experience damage and when we cause it we always take responsibility and work with our customers to make it right.
A few days ago, my husband and I happen to rent a 26 foot truck instead of a 16 foot truck and had no idea how to load it. We weren't even planning to move yet so our house wasn't packed up at all. The Movers 123 saved us. They came when they said they would, dove right into packing up our massive amount of belongings and carefully packed the truck to the absolute limit. They worked until the job was done even though we had underestimated how long we would need them and they had another job to get to. UPDATE (1/19/18): I have change my rating to three stars from one because the owner did contact me and did what he could to make things right. The furniture was touched up and I was reimbursed for the items that could not be repaired. ORIGINAL REVIEW (1/9/18): I was supposed to have 4 guys for this move. I started with 2, then 1 more came over an hour late and the last was 4 hours late. They were not informed of the piano to be moved or the extent of how much I had to move. They did have to make 2 trips, and when they were there, they did work very hard. In fact, I gave them all a very large tip because they had worked so hard. I was not yet aware of how careless they had been in handling. So much damage. All furniture was shrink wrapped, but there are knicks and scratches all over the bottoms of everything. My bedroom furniture has chips all over. They broke both of my children's beds. ALL bedroom furniture was new and in perfect condition when they arrived. Most of my other pieces were as well, but they don't look it now. They spilled concrete cleaner all over, ruining 3 pieces and my new carpet because it wasn't noticed on the third piece which was placed in my home. It's ironic because their truck leaked oil on my driveway as well. The owner had someone come look at the damaged furniture and he said he had decided to cut me a check instead of repairing, but he never discussed an amount or even sent a check. When I send him a text after discovering more damage and I never received a response. I selected this company because of the great reviews and how responsive he was when I contacted him for information. You pay an hourly rate per mover and after our two hour minimum we only bill in 15 minute increments. We charge a flat rate for gas for the moving trucks. We have a 2-hour minimum in area and a 3-hour minimum out of area.
