I started trig with Alvin and I am very pleased. He makes sure you understand the work and if you don’t he will literally draw it out for you until you grasp the concept. He is also very computer savvy which makes learning online so much easier. I highly recommend Alvin he is competent and punctual. The price is very fair too :)\nThank you Alvin \nDanielle Schwartz

He has helped me with statistics which I haven’t taken in years. Sid does a great job of explaining concepts and getting me to think. He doesn’t make me feel rushed or judged. I highly recommend Sid as Statistics tutor. If there is something he doesn’t know he will figure it out and pass on the knowledge.

Nick is the best!! He always asked me in advance what I needed help with so he could come prepared and he was even willing to spend extra time outside of our sessions to help with problems I still didn’t understand. If you have the opportunity to have Nick as a tutor, take it! He’s really great at explaining, and he’s also super nice and patient.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Most tutors charge $25/hour for 1:1 tutoring and there are never any hidden fees nor upfront costs. Clients pay on a per-session basis and we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, or you get your money back. Tutorfly Tutors keep 100% of what clients pay and we don’t take any commissions. (Online sessions and in-person sessions are the same price.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1. Speak over the phone to learn more about your student to make a recommendation. 2. Connect you directly with the tutor so you can talk with him/her. 3. Book a session through the Tutorfly site and enjoy! :) We personally recommend an academic tutor that doubles as a role model for your student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? Our Tutorfly Tutors are in the top 10% of their classes in high schools and universities like Stanford, UC Berkeley, Princeton, and NYU. They have ample experience working with students of all ages and have progressed through a 4 step vetting process that tests for knowledge, creativity, and empathy.
