Great work and reasonable prices. I hired them for a move out cleaning and I couldn’t be more happy with their work. Angela is extremely responsive and made sure to work with my schedule - I am super appreciative of that. Bathrooms and kitchen, along with the oven and fridge, were spotless. Angela also checked with me afterwards to make sure their work was satisfactory. Great! Would definitely use this service again.

I think Paulo does a good job cleaning. He was very easy to work with and very flexible with our schedules. He cleaned our fridge very well and also scrubbed the old oven to get it nice and clean. He also rented a carpet cleaner machine and shampoo for me and cleaned the carpets. He never asked for more money even though it was ending up taking a lot longer than we thought it would be just because there was so much to do. Since he was there so long I paid him twice what we agreed upon even though he never complained. The bathroom was difficult to clean because it is old and he even came back when we asked him to hit it again the next day. I'll have him come back for things in the future.

I was about 3 months behind on dishes (really) and the kitchen was a messy, moldy, crusty disaster. Maria and her crew immediately responded and made the kitchen, oven, and fridge SPARKLE. They were very professional, very nice, and very efficient. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

Claudia and her team were great to work with! They sanitized my bathrooms and left them sparkling clean. They also cleaned my refrigerator and oven. They went above and beyond by pulling out my refrigerator and cleaning behind and underneath it. I highly recommend them!

Great job on the floors & really went the extra mile on the oven, microwave, & microwave. Only knock I had was when my non-stick pans were put in the dishwasher but I’m positive that could be avoided in the future with proper communication on my part.

I had Laura Lopez and Ditala Cleaning Services come and do a move-out cleaning for my vacant, 3 bedroom condo. The project did take a little longer than I anticipated, but that's because they blew me away with the results! Everything was sparkling clean - the fridge, the oven, the stove, the microwave, the bathtubs, toilets, everything! They were incredibly thorough and had great communication with me. I would definitely hire her again, no questions asked.

Samanta was awesome! I was stressed about getting the kitchen and bathrooms spotless for our open house and her work was amazing. I didn't think it was possible to get an old stove top and oven that clean. I would definitely recommend her and hire her again.

I've done both a deep clean and regular clean with mint fresh cleaning several times. Awesome experience, exceptional workmanship and great value for money. Danielle goes the extra mile by cleaning the oven, grill when the cleaning of the house was done and she had some time left. 1. Toilets are super clean when done 2. Bedroom looks like a hotel when she is done with them 3. House smells fresh and clean when you come home 4. Trustworthy and safe. 5. Highly recommended for all your cleaning services.

They did a great job cleaning and were very thorough. This was a move-in clean and by the looks of the place, the previous owners had not cleaned the house in some time. They triple mopped the floors and somehow got the disgusting oven spotless! They accommodated us on very short notice, and were pleasant to work with. We had a miscommunication with the hourly rate, but they worked with us. We were happy with their services.

I was needing to get my house cleaned after moving out. I will say that with all of the moving the house was filthy! I was quite embarrassed by how dirty it was but was so worn out I decided to hire A and J cleaning. This was the best decision! Not only did they get the house clean but they got things looking brand new! Stuff I could never get out of my oven and range, were completely cleaned off. The refrigerator looked brand new! My bathroom shower....wow! What an incredible job they did! I would use them again and recommend anyone to hire them! Thanks for making the home look so beautiful!!

I hired Luz to do a deep clean of my house and had mentioned in my quote I had hard water spots. One of the main reasons I decided to hire a professional is that I personally had spent many hours trying to clean the difficult hard water spots all over my house. Luz came with one more and they were able to clean my kitchen faucet better than when I bought the house. Luz and her partner put in almost 11 (5.5*2) hours, making the rate I paid about $16.5 an hour. Luz asked me for all my expectations at the beginning of the job and did a great job addressing every issue I mentioned. The deep cleaning done on my oven and kitchen sink was short of amazing. The amount of cleaning that was done was on par for the price and Luz was very professional and friendly. Some items in my house seemed to be neglected such as the inside of my piano lid and a few window tracks were left with crust inside of them. I was able to flake some of the crust by scraping it with my fingernail. I was out of the house when Luz was finished cleaning so I was unable to inspect and ask her directly about any of these concerns. I am confidant had I been there she would have rectified anything I had mentioned. I give five stars, and would recommend to anyone looking for a good deep clean.

I have had my carpets cleaned before Surface Masters and thought that it was done fine. When Lane came and did my carpets he took his time and concentrated on the spots that were hard to come out. I have never seen someone care about their work like Lane did. I won't ever use any one else.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do you pay for house cleaning?

Hiring a professional house cleaning service is a helpful way to have a healthy home even when your work and personal schedule is packed. House cleaning prices vary based on how many square feet your home is, how dirty your house gets, and how often the cleaning service comes. Some companies charge a set amount — such as 5 cents — per square foot, with a minimum amount, such as $100. The national average cost for house cleaning ranges between $110 and $150. Prices can be lower in areas with a lower cost of living, higher in big cities or affluent regions. You may save money by increasing the frequency of your house cleaning visits. Often a company will charge you less per cleaning when you schedule more cleanings per month. The cost advantage rewards your loyalty, and also reflects the fact that more frequent cleanings make it easier to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your home. A housecleaning service may charge more for the first visit or for one-time services than for recurring cleanings.

How much does it cost to deep clean a house?

Deep cleaning a house goes beyond the surface level to clear out the dust, grime and gunk that’s collecting on the fan blades, hiding in the blinds, and built up inside the refrigerator drawers. Deep cleaning of a home or apartment costs more than regular house cleaning because it takes more time, effort, and cleaning products. You may choose to have a deep cleaning once or several times a year in addition to your standard cleaning services. You may have a one-time deep cleaning to prepare for company or to clean after a house party. Companies may charge an hourly rate or a price per square foot, or may offer you a flat rate after they have visited your home and estimated work time. The national average house cleaning price is $110-$150, with rates ranging higher for deep-cleaning services. Here are some examples of how a company may calculate their deep-cleaning prices:

      • 10 cents per square foot (compared with 5 cents per square foot for standard house cleaning).
      • $300 for a 3,000-square-foot home.
      • $25 per hour per worker for deep-cleaning services.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

      • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
      • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
      • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

      How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.

How much does a move-out cleaning cost?

Moving is hard enough work even before you have to clean the empty home to perfection. Instead of scrubbing your tile grout with a toothbrush, hire a professional cleaning company to provide move-out cleaning services for you. For moving out of an apartment, cleaning prices can range from $110 to $150. When scheduling a move-out cleaning, talk with the pro and confirm all the key points they will clean to ensure you receive your deposit back.

Important areas to have cleaned include the fridge interior, the oven interior, bathroom tile, the shower and tub, all blinds, and sometimes the walls. Some cleaning companies do not quote a flat rate for a move-out cleaning, as the number of hours it may take to clean structurally identical apartments could vary greatly depending on how clean or dirty the inhabitants were. For example, move-out house cleaning prices may range from $150 to $180 for one- or two-bedroom apartments.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
