If you find me in thumbtack you are getting a discount! Once a student is enrolled in ongoing lessons with me I charge at the beginning of the month for all lessons. Same day cancellations pay for the lesson. All other cancellations I reschedule you lesson so you never miss a lessons you’ve paid for!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask them about their background in singing and music and then their goals for their voice. Before we meet I ask them to choose a song that they’ve always wanted to sing better to start with, (it helps with nerves and getting the most out of the first lesson if you’re familiar with the material.) On lesson day I start with fundamental of breathing and posture and then go into a warm up that helps me identify areas to work on and I tailor the warm up to areas that need improvement. I then do an overview on three vocal techniques that every singer needs and show them how they can take them from a warm up and use in a song. I try to pack as much as I can into that first lesson, so if we don’t work together again I can be satisfied I provided them with tools in that one lesson that can drastically improve their voice!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA Hons Degree in Singing and Theater arts from The London Studio Centre. Plus years of professional experience on stage and in front of the microphone.
