First off, the young kid that arrived on site seemed to be a very hard worker. With that said, I had relayed in excruciating detail that the space where the water heater was to be installed was extremely tight. Even with that warning, a water heater was brought on-site that didnt fit, causing a delay. Also, a fixed price of $1100 was quoted, but when the work was done another $70 was demanded which we refused to pay. Had the warning about a tight-fit for the water heater not been clearly and repeatedly relayed to Aqua Mechanical before anyone showed up on site, delays and extra costs are understandable. However, this was not the case.

There was an unfortunate series of events that happened while Ron was installing my water heater, my main line was severed and water poured into my house for more than an hour and a half. The city had to be called to shut off the main water line to my block. Ron did everything he could to handle the situation, but this was a horrifying experience. Only redeeming factor was that Ron remained calm under pressure.

They were able to get our water heater installed the same day we requested. I gave them the wrong size, but they were very professional and prompt in just going to get the right size. They ended up working late to make sure we were taken care of. Great quality work! They even took the time to walk us through the new heater and warranties before they left. They gave us a very fair flat quote they stuck to even having to go get a different heater. I would definitely call them again! Thank you!

My regular plumber told me my water heater would need to be replaced soon and he quoted me $1,500. I put off replacing it because I thought I had some time. However, late Saturday night my water heater started leaking. I was going out of town Monday morning and had arranged for someone to stay at my house to take care of my dog. I needed to get this fixed quickly. I called my regular plumber and was told that I would be charged extra for a weekend call plus they wouldn't be able to replace it anyway because the shop was closed. Not very helpful. On Sunday morning I was frantically searching for a plumber and found Thumbtack. I explained my issue and said I needed the water heater replaced that morning. Aaron responded within 15 minutes. We had a conversation and he was at my house in an hour. Aaron went above and beyond. The way the furnace was installed made removing the old water heater difficult and he had to cut out some framing in the wall. Despite all of difficulty and a Sunday morning call, his price for the water heater replacement was well below what my original plumber had quoted me. I think I have a new plumber now. I would highly recommend Aaron. He was prompt, courteous, cleaned up, did a great job, and was very reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Mine was leaking all over my basement and he adjusted his busy schedule to make sure that I was taken care of quickly. We requested a quote for water heater installation. They gave us a low quote so we asked one of their technicians to come to our house for consultation, with a $29 fee. After the consultation, the technician gave us the most expensive quote among all contractors, which is WAY more than their initial quote through thumbtack. I guess this is their business model: bait you with low quote and give a much higher quote after consultation. This way they profit both ways. I would not recommend them.
