FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work by the project and by the hour. The pricing depends on the project, the client's budget, and how much time I have available.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To stay up to date in the audio world, I continue to update my software and plugins. I do my best to stay up to date on all advancements. I read magazines and look online for news in the audio world. I am also close friends with many audio professionals who keep me informed. Recently, I consulted with a friend of mine who works for Avid (Protools) who advised me to update my studio monitors. With his recommendation, I updated my studio monitors to the newest cutting edge technology from Genelec. I also have a new microphone pre-amp on the way this January. To stay up to date in the songwriting and production world, I attend some of the top music conferences. In the past, I have attended the TAXI Road Rally, ASCAP Expo and the Experience Conference. These conferences allow me to network with talented musicians and know my competition.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I knew from a young age that music would be my career. I started playing piano when I was eight and drums when I was nine. I continue to play both to this day. I made up my mind to be a songwriter/producer in high school. Following high school, I went to Berklee College of Music where I graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Electronic Production and Design.
